Christine Pedi ("NEWSical The Musical") joins her Sirius/XM "On Broadway" co-host to display her vocal chops. In this case however, it's not her high belt that's so impressive. Rather, it's her uncanny impressions of some of Broadway's most iconic stars. Christine takes on Elaine Stritch, Angela Lansbury and Bernadette Peters to great comic effect.

Her Stritch is absolutely one-of-a-kind, the little bit of Liza she does is freaking insane (I mean no one has ever really nailed older, post-surgeries Liza like that), but her Bernadette singing Sweeney is RIDONKULOUSLY PERFECT!!! Holy guacamole, I've listened to this nearly 20 times in a row!

Christine Pedi for President 2020. Seriously. (And don't believe her if she says she isn't running. Puh-lease!) I have wondered before why Christine isn't like a household name. But when you think about it, broadway/musical theatre and the divas who live there are not mainstream culture anymore. Oh, and there isn't really a mainstream culture! So her amazing talent is focused on a pretty esoteric specialty. If you don't know the originals, you won't get the joke, at least not the full brilliance of the joke. Only in New York, as they say. But she has a blast doing what she does, her adoring fans, like me, get the joke, and in the end, what more could you ask for as a performer?
