Hef DID NOT own the mansion. The company did. Hef rented his room from them...which is why I believe as a courtesy and tenant rights, he got to remain there til death

hef is and was playboy. someone else did not own his company. hef had everyone catering to his every need so he basically wanted the money from the sale and he wanted to live there till he died because he wanted it both ways. greedy, entitled, selfish. I don't know why Hef didn't just leave the property to his children like his two young boys so they have a home to live in. weird guy. I mean, especially being the ultra famous playboy mansion- it would have and should have been the boys legacy.
