ok but let's say we do a salary cap, and put the cap at 50 million, so 50 million salary for the whole squad. Where does all the money go that would have otherwise been spent for Player wages? because Top Clubs pay their players every year 100-200m because more often than not, they earn more money from the player than they pay in wages. Obviously, since they are serious businesses. The money the clubs would safe from lower wages would go to the owners who usually are already Billionaires and make the Clubs worth boom since Player power would be much smaller with such a Salary cap, again just benefitting a super rich club owner or investor.
@check20003 жыл бұрын
well said
@kylenelson21213 жыл бұрын
@@LegendNinja41it’s a fair question but one that holds very little weight. Basically what you are saying is if we have a cap than the owners get all the money. It’s not a „one or the other“ situation here. A game is only as good / fair as the rules dictate. So we need to improve the rules. The league should be open for all clubs to win the league not just the richest. Best thing to do. 1. Set a cap on salaries (this can be done in stages) 2. Profits - % need to go paying club staff well, invest in youth & communities, lowering season ticket prices etc. 3. Every club needs a minimum of 60% home grown players in the Main squad - national team football would become better 4. I like the rule they have in Germany of 50 + 1 rule, fans should have a say in what happens to their club. In the end football should belong to the fans. Greed and opulence needs to be removed… it’s without question taking the soul and integrity away from the sport.

Martin please stop before you lose credibility mate. You are a former footballer, watch the games again and tell me you don’t see a player that is completely finished

For me Arteta is no different from Olê (i miss olê😭), his claim to fame is being Peps no2, Vierra would have been better & is a real Legend of gooners.

Auba never had the mindset of a focused guy, lets be honest its different to a Salah or Lukaku mentality to stay grounded and not joke around too much. Watch Arsenal give a contract to another finished player in Lacazette

Salah is very religious and so is Mane so that really help them focus off the field.

Keown repeatedly saying the name “Aubameyam” summed up everything about his take on the situation that took place. No clue who or what he’s on about 😂

Is it just me, or was Natalie coming off as a bit "Twitter argument" later in the video? Keown: "there'll come a time when he gets paid a new contract, that he'll dip a little bit." Natalie: "Why?? Why will he dip?" Keown: "'Cause that's human nature." Natalie: "Because of too much money??" Keown: "No. We're dealing with form, isn't it?" Natalie: "But you just said when he gets a new contract, which will be more money, he'll dip in form" Keown: "Potentially he will dip in form. Can he sustain this all this time?" She attacks a point he wasn't even making. He was just saying that due to human nature, a player's form rises and falls a lot throughout their career. Whether ot not they get paid more money, dips in form will still happen. When dips happen, players get compared to their wages and cost. Keown was making a pretty basic point that dips in form are inevitable. Natalie comes over like "SO PEOPLE DIP BECAUSE MONEY?" and I'm like "....huh? Slow down, that's not what he said." I say it's Twitter argument logic, because a common example goes like this: Person A: "Man I sure love pancakes" Person B: "SO YOU HATE WAFFLES? WOW" Person A: "No? I just prefer pancakes" Person B: "YOU HAVE A PANCAKE FETISH??? BLOCKED YOU CREEP" etc

12:27 Keown "its becoming boring this topic, must be for the guys listening in their cars" If you're that concerned about us being bored Martin you would've resigned from media duties years ago mate.

Martin Keown should be banned from talking about Arsenal, I've never heard so much contradictory rubbish ever! You can tell he doesn't see much of Arteta, if Man United didn't see much in Ole, then how can arsenal realistically see much in Arteta, but he's fallen for the trpa that Neville fell in where he had to defend Ole at every corner 🤷🏼♂️
