Fun fact: the LEK mod hasn't updated the in-game description and the 2 faith also requires 3 ocean tiles. I feel like they made it too much of a pain to get the bonuses.

Honestly it's nice but it's not really worth it compared to good inland tiles. The tile yields are just way more valuable. It's useful for a very specific build of wide and fishing boat hammers pantheon where you can settle tiny islands, but really not even that impressive

The capital being located on a bay instead of the full coastline is better, anyway, given their proclivity to forever-war. Especially since Boat King Daltos is in the game.

There's a strategy for Carthage which makes it one of the best civs on an ocean map like this. There's a pantheon in Lekmod which gives you +2 science from every city connection, and every city you found on the coast automatically gets a city connection and adds gold per turn, so you settle as many coastal cities as quickly as you can and you rocket ahead on science and gold.

Fun fact for daltos. The red dragon is said to be inspired by Arthur’s comet, a rock that is said to have caused many deaths when it fell on the isles decades before the saxons established a ruling elite over the british natives (the english are effectively identical to the welsh and cornish in dna terms , disproving a theory of replacement by the angles and saxons)

What got me was when he complained about his desert start without actually looking at his start. Easily top-3 start, maybe even best or second-best. All those hills, between 2 deer and a bunch of whales? His capital is fuckin' set, especially if he gets Petra in it (though it might be worth saving it for a different city, given the state of the rest of his island).

Presumably Lekmod. Previous mods used to disable Venice entirely since it was so hard to properly balance. I've not played Lekmod (or at least not the latest versions), so Idk how they changed it, but presumably that's the reason it can have more than a single city.
