There's literally a wizard battle between Moses and the Pharaoh's priests in the Bible. When Aaron and Moses confront the priests, the priests turn their staves into snakes, but Aaron's rod gets turned into a bigger snake and swallows the other snakes. Religious duels were actually a kind of common thing in medieval times. It was basically a way to settle religious disputes about the faith or related arguments. Unfortunately it involved less lightningbolts and more risking lives doing dangerous & often fatal activities, and if they were right God would protect them and keep them alive. A famous case was during the First Crusade, in which a monk claimed to have discovered the holy lance (the one they poked Jesus with). The Cardinal that was also on the crusade had none of it, since they already had that same lance back in the Vatican, so they had such a duel. The monk walked through a fire to prove God was with hima and he was right, the poor fellow burnt to death and it was then decided that it wasn't the holy lance after all.

How are you even supposed to deal with the "Not Enough Amenities" thing? I get my entertainment districts up in optimal positions, get as many different luxuries as the map allows and my cities still have like -2 Amenities. One game it was so bad my people started rioting and spawning barbarian tanks in the city. There was nothing I could do about it, there was only 1 single Luxury on my half of the continent because most of it was mountains.

Make friends with city states usually helps too, especially at 6 envoys where they share their resources. Really if you find it hard, rush the coliseum, that wonder is amazing, I goto war with whoever gets it, so I can have it.

Civ VI is all about settling as many cities as close as possible to stack the area bonuses. Amenities really isn't a problem unless your cities are super large, especially if you get the Colosseum.

+Andjac See that's the problem, the maps I've gotten doesn't allow that. Every single map I've tried only gives me room for 2 cities, at most 3, because there's so many damn mountains. And even when I do get room for 3 cities it's in a long row so I can't get the full benefits from the bonuses anyway. I've played through 2 and half full games and for all of them I've restarted a good 10+ times to get a start that's not surrounded by mountains. Takes so long to restart though so eventually I give in so I can play at all.
