Very interesting, great hands on! I’m waiting for mine in the mail (getting secondhand), been trying to figure how to transfer it to an account under my name, so you figured out that bit?

If you get it register to another person you can go into the menu and factory reset it. When you set it up again you'll have a chance to activate it under your Play.Date Account with a link code in the start up menu.
