I'm nearly 100% positive "the kid" is the one in the black shirt. He is in the 2nd row and is sitting right behind the kid in a hat. Watch Pete after his spare shot in the 2nd frame. At 4:06 Pete says "It's called sportsmanship pal." Then around 4:10 you'll see the kid in the hat. Look at the kid sitting right behind him and when Pete says "It's called sportsmanship pal" you'll see the kid turn to his friend almost as if to say "is he talking to me?" and he is the only one not clapping. And if you STILL don't see him lmao he's easy to spot if you pause at 7:32. Look to left side of the screen. See the kid in the hat? He's sitting right behind him.

Pete Weber is amazing. He's done such a great job adapting his game over the years. He started out as a pure cranker,, power bowler and now he's much more of a finesse guy. He's great at manipulating his hand and changing the type of rotation on the ball. He can come around the ball and hook it gutter to gutter or flatten his hand out and come up the back of the ball and go straight up the right gutter.

when a little kid roots against you so you give him the super intimidating safety goggle stare down. i get you don’t want your focus disturbed but there’s 100+ people around you god forbid a kid roots for the other competitor. i felt the second hand embarrassment and uncomfortable vibe for the rest of the game. let’s be real. what if the kid was rooting for him because he hit nine pins in that kids eyes that’s a good shot probably lost a fan and possibly put the kid off of bowling you never know he could have been your biggest fan. keeping your composure after a mistake makes you look far more superior when you succeed

Weber was super somber throughout the first couple of frames. In my opinion he needed something to focus his energy on and for him to have a way to get some of his feelings out about this maybe being his fifth title and surpassing his father. He has said that everything he does he did for his dad. His family name isn't tarnished because of one moment, look at what both pete and dick have done throughout bowling's history. It puts it into perspective why he was so fired up throughout that game.

@@11vis56 it's one thing is the kid only did it once. But the kids did it several times and made Noise to try and distract him while he was throwing. This is not wrestling or football or any other pro sport where you get to make noise at any moment and they just have to take it. This is pro bowling. At this kind of event unless the person is not getting ready to throw the ball you be quiet period. He has every right to say something to the kid if he wants and that kid has to learn that he can't get away with with whatever he wants just because he's a kid. And also since the guy won that tournament he most certainly proved it with his skills and did swallow the jeers. He just took it his own way and took that and used it as fuel to win instead of letting it make him lose.

One thing I think they don't talk about enough is just how difficult the US Open oil pattern is. There is no room for error. Novices such as myself need not apply. I bowled on them once and I couldnt do much of anything. I am just a cosmic bowler though : )

i just noticed that at 3:43 the kid in the black shirt was sitting in the front row smirking at PDW, then at 4:10 you see the same kid has moved back into the 2nd row, and his mom is giving him "the look" lol. must have been that kid. WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS !?!
@floridamaddogg

xFLOPSHOOTERx you might be right. I was always thinking it was that kid in the front row with that blue/gray shirt on with a hat. He never clapped for Pete Weber, but did for everyone else.

@@octaviahall900 Above the Geico G you see a newly empty seat at 4:10. Next to that is a kid in a blue hat and black shirt guy is directly behind him. You can see Mom looking back from the first row. What a catch!

That kid's mom was ready to smack him upside the head for behaving that way at a US Open on national television. What an embarrassment to a parent. That kid has to be 15 or 16 and knows better. I am sure mom told him he deserved what he got. At a PGA tournament they escort you right out if you are that close and jeer a player. They do not want any part of that at the competition.
