i wanna ask how does the 50’s do with dirty tones? i’m kinda looking for a guitar that does well with both clean and high gain tones, although i do lean a little more on clean tones. pretty torn between the 50’s cv and the 70’s cv with hss pickups.

@@biscuits2463 the 70s with the humbucker would probably handle high gain better. My 50s sound good with gain but due to single coils only, it can get a little noisy, so having that humbucker in the bridge would solve that pretty well I’d figure

Very chill video, love little wing! ...regarding the bridge... It is screwed down hard from the factory and needs the screws loosened and spring tension setup if you want to use the tremolo. I have this guitar in fiesta red.

I like your guitar playing. Bought such a CV 50s Strat in black a few weeks ago and enjoy playing on it. I think it's a pretty good guitar. The finish and overall quailty, playability and sound is very good for the price. Same goes for 50s butterscotch blond Tele, which I also own.

It has arrived and it's amazing! One thing to mention is that it has a transparent/translucent finish so one can see the wood and its grain pattern. I don't think this detail is so clear in every picture on the internet.

I just got one. It’s fun to play, easy to play and the pickups sound amazing. It’s pretty much got everything a decent Fender would have minus the 250k pots and the prominent Fender logo. By the way, the fretwork is VERY nice. I do plan on changing out the bridge and trem block assembly. But that’s it! It’s an amazing guitar for under $500 US.

Thanks for taking your time for putting this up with beautiful clean tones. When i came to your review, i already had decided i'm gonna get classic vibe 50's strat. You confirmed my decision. Btw, i also live in denmark. Could you recommend me a place where i could buy a good used one of these guitars? However. just in case my budget is bit lower, what would you say about a Yamaha Pacifica 311h or something above used? I'm concerned about the playability and clean sounds - with single coil pick ups.

Sorry I'm seeing this so late... the Pacificas are great guitars! But the pickups do not sound so good... In a Pacifica I would definitely change them ;)

Bought one. It’s a nice guitar, certainly for what it costs. Sounds really surprisingly good. Plays and feels like a real strat. It has some dead spots below the twelfth fret. Is there something to do about that, maybe change the bridge?

No, I think more in fret levelling.....but that can cost you at a guitar tech...unfortunately

@@Eric-rt6tg yeah... with Squier and other cheaper brands - the quality control can vary a little - and it's a good idea to try the actual guitar before buying it. If it's online - request a trade for another one and hope for the best 😊

I just managed to buy one second hand but the guitar still had all the plastic on it!...These are AMAZING guitars...I have a 1979 Stratocaster a 1980 The Strat and a 2001 Standard Stratocaster all USA and this Classic Vibe actually beats them all for ORIGINAL Fender sound and playability. ...I am gonna go and buy as many as I can....better than money in the Bank...THESE WILL BE THE JVs of the Future!..PS the switch is an OAK switch...not cheap but the pots are mini pots in this model!...other way around in the Chinese Classic Vibes!..(Large pots and cheap 5 way!)

Great sound and playing ! I think the 60s CV have the same pickups but rosewood neck and different neck profile . I personally preferred the G and L pickups on the Legacy up against a Player Strat although the finish on the G and L was a bit rough fretwise . Thanks for posting .👍

The chinese CV strat have different pickups. 50s have Alnico 3 and 60s have alnico 5.

I have a 50sCV TELE in a translucent white blonde. It’s Stunning and unbelievable. I go to GC and others to look at “Real Fenders” and I just shake my head. This is an amazing demo. I’m looking for a nice CV Strat to match my Tele. The value is off the charts…go get one of each for 50’60’and 70’s lol. Less that one “Real” guitar😂😂😂

Definitely the Squier! The new cheaper G&L have way too much laquer on the neck - which gives a more platique-attack in the sound. And the pickups are hard-sounding with very little warmness or silkyness. That's just my taste! 🙃
