Is this where we all comment about lights being out? Just kidding. It looks like another great game. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for filming it. You didn’t have to do that.

I think the two most enduring themes for pinball would have to be Cards and Pool. This looks like it’s gonna be an awesome game to play. …great way to kick off December with Joe and Ronnie. Thanks guys.

As much as I like all the technical stuff and all on the new machines, 1985 would probably be about the newest that I really like in pinball machines. I just feel the heyday of pinball was earlier and later ones just ended up with too many gimics in them. This one looks really great. Sure, you have ball swirls, but from the distance you are at when playing, it is barely noticeable. This one could almost go out on site with how good it looks. Thanks for showing this one off as it is, and I look forward to seeing it fully restored again.

Yeah I'm kind of the same. I mean yeah I'd want a Twilight Zone or an Addams Family but these older ones are 'real' pinball to me. A lot of people don't like this particular era of games because they took a slight step back and simplified them again, but I kind of like the abberation there. There's a little bit of time there where they just tried to make good shooting games without many extras and they resembled the late 70's games a little bit because of it....

When I was in high school, there was one that was in a bowling center. After our marching band night practice, several of us would go there and play games. A friend and I played it one Saturday night, we rolled it over a couple times. Longest game on one machine back then. Galaxy was another one we rolled over few years later at the arcade. Edit: one I was thinking of was Eightball Deluxe.

I FOUND IT! After seeing all the work you guys did on this, I wanted to find one in my area. Driving around town and using the pinball map app, I came across this machine in a record shop. Went out of my way to play it! Great game, will need to go back again.

Ron and Joe, I discovered your chanInel last year and have watch most of your repair videos. Great Stuff! Its inspired me to obtain my first pinball machine. I have an opportunity to purchase and Eight Ball Champ. However, the seller stated the machine has an intermittent reset problem. Are pcb repair and replacement resources readily available for this machine type?

Have this game in my collection right now have had it for about a year, it is very unforgiving. I wouldnt say the shots are hard as much as the outlanes are gobblers. Love it though. The posts on the g shot get beat up pretty bad though, always gettting hit full force, mines a little wonky need to fix it soon

So how long did it take you to clean the playfield? And on average how long does it take if it isn't to bad? Basically a clean and wax no retouching with paint?
@LyonsArcade2 жыл бұрын
Usually four or five hours, the longest part is cleaning each piece before you put it back on the playfield.

Joe's classic, on most pinball games when the battery is low it doesn't store letters or characters into the ram chip only certain games do cuz I would think that when the battery is low it would just store garbage and just anything I didn't know that only certain games store garbage and others don't it must be in the wrong programming that prevents that from happening I guess on certain games to be loading garbage into the NV ram?

Do you mean are there a lot of them around? Yes they've kind of had a resurgence, they're in most bars and entertainment places now again.... and you can buy a lot of them they're for sale used and new, however the prices are through the roof. So there's quite a lot of them, and they're quite a lot of money! Thank you for watching Darren!
