Hi everyone! Hope you enjoy the video. This is a fun play between two of my favorite stitches. The Granny Square and C2C. This is perfect for temperature blankets, stash busting or if you have a variegated yarn that you've been wanting to use. This stitch can easily be converted from a square to a rectangle blanket. I hope you give it a try. xx

I follow a lot of crochet tutorial channels & just found this today & I'm so glad I did! Your tutorials are easy to understand, easy to see the stitches & you're clear at what to do & why. Def a new sub from me & now I'm off to binge watch your channel lol. Much thanks from a newbie down in New Zealand xxx

Roz there was another video on this subject and I made a suggestion there that might help some folks. For the final cluster try this. Another way to get a square corner on the last row. chain three, start the first double crochet in the cluster leave the loop on the hook, do the same for the second and third double crochets so you have 4 loops on the hook. Pull through all four loops and draw the 3 double crochets together. End as usual with the stitch at the end of the row. This gave me a square corner. i hope this helps.

What a fun pattern!! I made a large square today and it is just perfect. I use 100% cottons and made it for a kitchen hot pad. I really like that this pattern can be made to any size. The color combinations are endless. I determined years ago that if you want a beautiful piece using constant color changes, the tucking-time just has to go with the artistry of your creation. I take my time, relax and know that it is just a part of the beauty. Great video and well explained, Roz. Thank you.💖

Hello everyone. My first time watching. C2c scares me. Lol. It looks so hard to do. But after watching this I am going to try it, you make it look so much easier and you explain it so well. Thankyou so much. Xx

My rectangular blanket with shades of blue, white and gold is growing quite beautifully. Thanks for your great tutorial. I made a sample beforehand and noticed that it was very taut along the sides in the increasing part. Not the same on decreasing. I decided to chain four when starting a new row and it seems good. I think I have a tendency to chain to tight. Hopefully it will be ok when decreasing but maybe I could return to 3 chains... 😂

@PlayHookywithMe 3 жыл бұрын
That’s wonderful and I love how you were able to work it out and adapt the chains to fit your tension. I have to do this as well! Let me know how the decreasing goes! 👏🏻💕

@@PlayHookywithMe late reply. Finished it a while back. Overall a great piece and it made a huge impact on the recipient. Next blanket I’ll pay more attention to my tension and return to three chains though. It ended up fanning a bit too much on the increase part so it ended up a bit “droopy.” But I’m a beginner and it’s fun nonetheless. And I’m learning all the time!

Hello, I just found you and wanted to see how you did this different c2c. Love it and I’m so excited to see someone that holds her hook like I do. I try the knife way but find the pencil way is easier. I want to find me a yarn needle like yours.. Thanks for your clear teaching style. God bless you.

Thank you so much, Julia. I have tried the knife way too but I’m much slower that way. I had to order the needles online - I haven’t been able to find them in stores. They are called Susan Bates Finishing Needles (Amazon) 🧶💕
