Hey Joe, thanks for the video. I was wondering what type of hitting mat you use and it looks like you have a separate piece of turf laid down on the strike zone. If so, what do you put down? I would like to get one to protect my mat life

I purchased the MLM 2pro today. I am building my own golf sim in an out building I just finished 24 x 22. Going to be a great set up when I have it complete. Any recommendations on computer to use with the Rapsoto and which projector?

So for computers you're going to want something with an RTX4060 at an absolute minimum if you want to run 4k.. GS Pro have good recommendations on their website as to PC specs. I personally have a Lenovo Legion 5i which has an rtx3060 graphics card and a core i7 processor. It is able to push GS Pro at 4k on my projector but some of the newer courses really push it to its limit and I see frame rate drops. I can see in the future I'm going to need to upgrade... maybe in a year or 2. Ideally a PC is better than a laptop as you can then upgrade individual components if they break or get old. I got a laptop as I take my portable set up with me when I go away for work. As for projectors I can't recommend the BenQ LK936ST more.. it's an absolutely incredible projector! However it does come with a decent price tag! If you're looking for something a bit cheaper I believe BenQ just bought out a fhd laser projector! Which would be great or another solid option that a lot of people use is the BenQ TH671ST. The main thing with the projector is you want it to be a short throw projector. Hope that helps! Cheers

In your earlier videos of Rapsodo MLM2Pro you mentioned that spin axis was an issue. It has been 2-3 month since then, do you feel like that problem has gotten better with software updates? or how did you fix this? I am thinking of buying it as my first simulator, to hopefully play scramble in doors with my friends.

Hey mate so the spin axis has always been fantastic with the MLM2PRO that was always the major selling point of this unit was the accuracy of data. There was an issue where e6 wasn't using the spin axis when it was first released however this has now been addressed and is fixed with an update. Now that you can connect this unit up to GS Pro I personally think this unit is the best sub $1000 unit on the market (if you can put up with the yearly subscription). The only issue right now is the chipping isn't that great on shorter shots however Rapsodo has acknowledged this and is working on an update to hopefully fix it 🤞🤞

What it the math you use for elevation changes affecting yardages? Or do you have a video of this?

Hey TJ so I just subtract the yards downhill off the total. The annoying thing is Awesome Golf displays the yardage downhill in ft. So if the hole is 150y and 30ft downhill (10y) I will play it 140y to the pin. Elevation is a bit different I play 2% more carry for every 1000ft of elevation so for example on a course that is 2000ft above sea level I will add 4% to all my carry yardages. Wind I play 1% per mph of wind so if it's directly into a win of 10mph I will play 10% more of the total yardage. Downwind is a little different I play about 7% per mph. Cheers

Great stuff, Joe! I hate that course on AG. I can't swing driver in my sim so driver is almost always short. The wind is also crazy. By the way, I'm sure you figured this out but AG does not give penalty strokes. It just has you drop for hazards or rehit from the same position for OB.

Yeah off the back tees it's no joke!! Especially with that wind! Is there a way to turn the wind off or is it just random? Yes I figured that out in the end. And tbh I should have remembered the pop up that tells you they don't add penalty shots. It would be good if you could do that when you play outside 🤣

Is awesome golf a must buy on the rapsodo like it is on the r10? I won’t be able to do a gspro setup for about 6 months or so

Mate if you buy awesome golf just for 6 months i wouldnt bother, i held out 5 months for my gspro setup and was well worth it, awesome golf was cool for the trial but with only 4 courses it just wasnt worth it.

Hey mate so for me the Rapsodo app is very accurate in terms of data. Not like the native R10 app.... That being said the actual functionality of the Rapsodo app isn't great. For me personally I would get Awesome Golf as an interim as 6 months is a really long time if you're going to be using your Sim say 3-4 times a week. But like Ryan said you can hold out for GS Pro. I guess it all depends on your budget and timeframe. Definitely do the trail after a bit of time with the Rapsodo app and see if it's worth it for you.

I like Awesome golf for the practice range, coaching session, and for non golfers the games it has. Sort of like going to Top Golf. Fun for just about anyone. The sim courses are limited but fun to play on. Lifetime would be the way to go if you get it. Lots of people get this then later add GSPRO and still use both for the coaching session, and the other games.

It's a fantastic device.. insanely accurate for the price. The only thing that's annoying me at the moment is it disconnects every now and then but it's not that big of an issue.. just annoying.

Nooo I like it.. 🤣 maybe that's me showing my age. It is a mobile device app and is made to work on really basic cheap hardware.. they can't have PC graphics quality I guess. Bit of a compromise
