Not gonna lie, Reginleif's Rally is lowkey an amazing mission. Mainly from a story perspective as sort of a prequel, as it lets us get more of Reginleif who was woefully underutilised in the original, shows Gargarensis uniting the Giants and actually lets us see Folstag & his never before seen counterpart in Halogi. The Norse part of the original campaign definetly felt the most rushed in places so them actually bringing to life concepts they were previously forced to scrap in some way is awesome!

1. I didn't realise how much I missed Daniel Riordan as Arkantos until we got him back! The man is a treasure and lowkey carries the campaign's voice acting in places lol The other VAs are also noticeably better or at least the direction is. Making even previously flat scenes feel like a near 1 to 1 with the original in terms of performances. The only one that's still really weak is Kamos. He just sounds too goofy. And Gargarensis, while not bad, sounds like he's trying too hard to do a menacing voice. Whereas the original was a lot more subdued, yet much more effective. A shame his and Ajax's original VAs passed away :< 2. The campaign changes here and there honestly feel nice. Some are intrinsic to the map, while others are the result of the gameplay changes It straight up feels like a more polished version of the original campaign, which is high praise.

One of the best things in AOM Retold is ai improvement, it's way too smarter then in original game, and the 2 very annoying ai bugs that i was encountered in original game was fixed for shore. First very annoying ai bug in original game is when let's say 3 Norse ai players advance to the Muthic age Tyr at very similar time almost at once for example, ai player that is first advanced invokes fimbulvinter and other 2 ai's need to wait for that power to be finished so another one can invoke fimbulwinter, but no, they just don't do it, they are prevented to invoke that power in specific time after advancing and then they will never invoke it anymore. That bug can happen with any other powers too only if rain, eclipse, fimbulwinter and ceasefire was on that is prevented others to invoke some other powers depending in what situation they are. Second bug is, some not every Thor ai player advance to the Classical age, build little amount of soldiers and stop doing anything, but if attacked not too far late after advancing to the Classical age ai sometimes just continues to do what is needed and the bug disappears. I don't know what is causing that bugs but maybe is the problem with new versions of Windows so the original game can have many issues. And i still didn't even managed to get Extended Edition and Tale of the Dragon AOM to work on my pc, always some dll problems or random error messages, so probably and unfortunately it will pass many time when i will be able to play Retold.

i hope multiplayer works, i didnt like voobly and im a very competitive person and want to rise from noob to top like ive done in tons of genre's, used to be top 100 overwatch player at 12 now i really want to master rts

wow thank you for the donation! I think with the auto-queue feature in this game, the learning curve lessens for new players

Looks real pretty. But why they speed up the voices so much? Feels like the forget , and . Loses any depth and is not at all immersive.

it was even worse in the beta, they improved a lot but I agree. the only voice i really love other than arkantos is currently agamemnon, to me personally he did a great job. not a fan of odyssieus at all, and ajax lost his personality
