I'm a very young edm dj and I love watching your videos. Their really helpful and have helped in my DJing. I've dj'd at school and the crowd is not much into edm, so I find I have to switch to TOP 40 styles to keep them entertained. And being quite young, I don't believe I'm legally allowed to just enter clubs and ask for slots. So I was wondering, how should I go about getting places to play that fit my specific style of music.

Abo Rajah go to the places you wan to play for, give them a mix and tell them you are available and see what they say. Spend money there and get them to notice you!

+William ‘DJ Phaseout’ Gatling getting food is great. But my point was that I normally don't eat with the guests. I've done a couple of corporate events where the clients were super cool and told me to fix myself a plate and come sit with the guests, but I will usually decline and find a private spot to eat. It doesn't feel right to me to sit with the guests and/or rclient if we don't know each other.

That would be of no use, because this wasn’t a regular wedding gig (which I don’t do). I was specifically booked to play the music that I used to play at a club local to that area. Strictly Throwback Hip Hop and R&B. That’s the only time I’ll accept a wedding booting My suggestion: check out Beatsource. They have real wedding playlists
