Hmm, I think the way he played in the end you could still have had some counterplay by going queen to d1 for a check, then taking the knight on e2 with another check and then trying to get the queen back to your king while checking.

@@chesswithbrandon Hmm no, sorry, I was wrong because it was check on you and you couldn't move the queen. Yeah... I guess it was too risky to leave the king alone but it was entertaining to watch!

Tough game, but he was a 1600 rated player at one point so you did well considering! You would have to have calculated so far for that knight win back too! You’ll get back to 1400 tomorrow though!
