This is day 246 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
These 3 games were a lot of fun, but not insanely happy with how I played them all! Hope you enjoyed them though! I think I'll be sticking to 10+0 as I don't have a ton of time to be editing! Thanks for watching as always!
Two Jobava Games and a Dragon turned French!
So far on the series:
183 wins 25 draws 154 losses

I personally like the 15|10 games a lot and enjoy hearing your thought process. I guess you could do a mixture of 15|10 and 10 flat, so that the viewers with short attention spans also get their content.

I honestly don't like uploading videos 50+ minutes... I think it's too long for people, even the video uploading today was shorter and it is 3 games of 10+0

I like the sounds of your chessboard and the pieces when you play! Are those the original sounds or did you customise it?

@@axagram1529 I'm pretty sure they're original, but if they aren't then it's probably just a setting on the website, I do think they are original though!! Thanks for the feedback :)

I've found that 10|5 is a good medium. Still gives you some more time to calculate, but not 40 minute games

bro, a what you call a french with the light squared bishop out, is the CARO KANN. haha. you always think the slav is the caro, but only the caro is the caro. (caro is played v e4) Liberate the light square bishop, enjoy your beautiful pawn structure, attack the d4 pawn with all your pieces, and plow through the queenside on the C file.
@Blunder_Man
@Blunder_Man 20 күн бұрын
This is not a caro kann lol, there's no pawn on c6
@exoendo
@exoendo 20 күн бұрын
@@Blunder_Man well yeah but I am saying how you like french positions but like the light squared bishop out... that's basically the caro : french+ better light squared bishop. obviously this exact setup wasn't a caro but honestly it was closer to a caro than a french (french basically always locks in the lsb) anyway cheers. play the caro someday :)
@Blunder_Man

I thought it felt way more French, but maybe IDK what I'm talking about
@exoendo
@exoendo 19 күн бұрын
@@Blunder_Man well french and caro are very similar in some respects so it would make sense why you would think that. it's a bit of a simplification but the main difference between the two is that in the french you lock in your light squared bishop and you bring it out early in the caro

At 31:51 you would have gotten a powerful pawn fork with c5. Everything he does ends up in this fork I think, because you will get a pawn on to the d4 square. So keep remembering the pawn forks. Have a nice day

@@palette3748 Sure, but if you understand postional chess, white is still winning over black. Two rooks controlling center files, a knight going towards e4, white would definitely be better. The pawn move probably isn't the best move.

@palette3748 Stockfish says black is winning? Well an 1800 isn't stockfish. With that pawn weakness on d4, the opponent would struggle with the middlegame plans of white with all those moves. And what sequence of moves did Stockfish even say gives black the advantage there?

In the third game i didn't understand why your opponent decided to resign? 🤔that was strange i think...anyway, glad for your last victory)
@Yute01
@Yute01 21 күн бұрын
I mean black is completely losing. Rook goes to e8 to stop pawn, then you take his bishop with the f pawn, queen is probably coming to c3 with more mate tactics. Was over for black, mind you that defending is harder than attacking in most cases.
@Blunder_Man
@Blunder_Man 21 күн бұрын
Yeah, sometimes it's strange to see a resignation but I think he saw that he was just losing
@blogattacker
@blogattacker 21 күн бұрын
I would have fought a lot more, queen F7 threatens the rook, knight D7 connects the rooks, then blunderman takes G5 with knight and threatens mate in H7, I would respond moving the black bishop to G7 and block mate in H7. And it is not that easy to win this. Blunderman would need some extra moves to use his rooks or advance pawns, I would play Queen F6 to trade queens and fight till the end
@blogattacker
@blogattacker 21 күн бұрын
@@Yute01 If white takes the black bishop the rook immediately takes the passed pawn and defends the 7th row, also, the column of the white king gets suddenly exposed for checks. you will get three pawns in the e file that are obstacles, and the pawn that took the black bishop will cover the king for checks, giving the black at least one tempo to develop his other rook to check the white pawn
@Yute01
@Yute01 21 күн бұрын
@blogattacker The thing is, 1800s struggle with executing a lost postion and having to defend multiple threats. Black could do all he can, but whites threats would simply be too strong if played correctly.

@@Blunder_Man That's too bad. Chess used to be a competition between two people making the best moves they possibly could. These days we do not have the attention span for that so we switch to quick games with quick results for quick entertainment. My entertainment comes from following slow games and trying decide what I would do in the current situation. It gives me time to think, visualize, and calculate, helping me improve. Alas, I know that I am in the minority - oh well.
