Heeey! Glad to hear your performance again. If only the sound quality were better, it would probably be another one of the best performances of this etude for sure. ✊ By the way, it's funny that we have the same duration of video of this Chopin's etude.😅 One wish, from 2:13 to 2:22 I would like to hear a little contrast, so that the sound in the left hand would be more pensive than belligerent (by using tenuto for example). But this is just my vision of this section.
@yetanotheramateurpianist25952 жыл бұрын
thanks for the compliments :) yeah its quite hard to get good sound quality from a phone recording with a public piano lol. Anyway I had a listen to your version and it's so polished and detailed. Interesting idea on the contrast, yes there could be an opportunity to create some colour in that section, I never thought of it that way, might try it out!

@@yetanotheramateurpianist2595 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video, too! 🙏 Yes, I understand (about the sound quality). I meant that it would be great if you recorded this etude in a more favorable environment (as in your previous videos with a little light, like at one of the last Richter concerts in London), because your version of the performance is closest to the way I interpret this etude myself, but also has your own attitude to this music. And I really like it. It will be interesting to hear your own interpretation of this section, if you try!

I play for like 3 years on and off, I can play things like nocturne in c sharp minor, nocturne in e flat major Prelude in e minor Waltz in a minor And few non chopin pieces The problem is, well I don’t know if it’s a problem but I only want to play chopin do you think it will hurt me in the long run? I’m trying now ballade in g minor I reached bar 100 but the piece is very difficult and I didn’t even reach the hard parts.. Do you have pieces to recommend to my level? By the way freaking awesome playing man that gives me inspiration

I think Debussy pieces are easy and cute haha, would definitely recommend them. Good Debussy players have insane touch.

@yetanotheramateurpianist25952 жыл бұрын
It actually doesn't need to be super accurate 😂 so basically I just remember the order for the notes and the rough spacing. If you take the lowest common multiple ie 12, the 3rds go from 0, 4, 8 and the 4ths go from 0,3,6,9 -> if you rearrange it then it goes 0,3,4,6,8,9. The 4ths are always earlier than the 3rds except for the last 4th. Practice with the correct order of notes in the beginning, then later with more practice the rhythm will become more natural. At faster speeds, listeners won't be able to tell as long as the first note is struck together, and the order of the notes are correct.

A very long time lol...the secret is that it's all about forearm pronation/supination - the fingers simply don't have enough stamina to last through the piece otherwise
