They definitely were not flexing on you. A "Kindergardian", as we call them, in the wild is something that seemingly gets mainstays/veterans to gravitate towards. A lot of them just like seeing a new gardian getting to feel the experience for the first time as they did. Its cathartic.

A few tips if you're gonna be playing destiny 2. Find some other people to play with. The game is way better when played with other people. The best part of the game is probobly the raids. They're hard but realy fun to do. When you start grinding for better gear you're gonna feel bored and that's usually how you find out why people hate it and say it's their favorite game

This goes for all new players but If for some weird reason you’re planning to give in and spend money to buy an expansion I'd recommend waiting for the next expansion (Lightfall) which comes out in a month, since the prices for previous expansions will drop drastically.

Always good to see a new player roaming the Destiny universe! If you do plan on sticking around, i'd *highly* recommend getting a group to play with (maybe even join a clan), as some of the best content (imo at least) is group activities, such as raids and dungeons. And if you do end up paying some money, either get the most recent (or if its close enough to release, the next) expansion as thats what most player will be spending their time in.

Keep making content for Destiny! I'm 6 year veteran and it's really nice watching New Lights get their first Legendary or use their Super on a fellow Guardian for the first time in Crucible after melting bosses with it. Theres something sweet about remembering those moments and seeing your face light up when you start to see how much magic is in this enormous game. This year in particular is going to be WILD for content and story.

Honestly pretty damn excited that you're trying out Destiny. Good luck getting into the game without friends though the learning curve is non existent. I and I'm sure many other fans of yours are very experienced with the game. I would highly recommend getting anyone to help guide you through the game cause it doesn't seem complex at first and then you realize there's an entire ice berg of content and systems waiting to be experienced.

Coming from a player how spent most their free time playing destiny 2. I really want you to dive deep in the game especially if your going to make a "for noobs" video, there is so much behind D2 that most noobs need to know like the grind is a big pain and it will take at least a week before you can play some high end game activities if you play alot that is. This stream was my first true one and it was a blast. I enjoy d2 and it was so fun and enjoyable watching macro go through it as a new-light while we also helped other people in chat who were getting into the game (I was *spectacle0_0* ). Btw as a warlock that poll deciding your class angers me cause majority of the player base is hunters cause they sound the coolest to new players but honestly all classes hold up (titans build potential is nutty and warlocks are satisfying with their build synergy at times). Hunter gets people with the whole "be a space sharp-shooting rouge". Ik in time macro you will become a warlock (or titan). No one stays a hunter forever (unless it's for cayde). No one but atleast you chooses the superior race of exo (come at me our lore is baller and purple people are weird plus we got goats like saint-14, cayde, exo stranger, and my boi banshee. Our race also didn't kill cayde).

Seconding the sentiment about classes. Titan is, IMO, the proper starter class, with Warlock being a good upgrade for group play. As a Yeet Titan turned Warlock, I have tried Hunter multiple times, and just cannot get the feel for those bouncy glass cannons.

Hey Macro! You have to try out Prophecy, the free-to-play dungeon. It's not the easiest nor is it the hardest one in the game. It's located in the Legends tab! If you want a guaranteed W, use a Solar Titan w/ the throwing hammer melee and Sol Invictus.

As someone that plays a lot, it's so funny looking at the new player perspective, but man seeing your excitement while using a rocket for the first time or popping off with your super in pvp is so refreshing from the entire try-hard attitude always going on in the community. Hope you get better and continue playing I'm thrilled to see more of it ! Quick tip that poeple in comments also mentionned, please play with people it's so muchh better that way. If you dare adventure yourself into raids with friends you would have so much fun (and suffer from the difficulty of it and it's mechanics but pff we're not gonna talk about that part) Anyway i love your content you're amazing !

There are tons of things to do in this game, and while you (thankfully) have a background in FPS games, Destiny is a very large and confusing game to play alone. Glad you had fun! Bungie tries to stay on top of updating their game and it's getting a huge system update that will fundamentally change how people build their loadouts in a month (Also loadouts are gonna be a thing!), so that's part of why it still feels good. They nailed the gunplay almost right out of the gate and they've been working on making the rest of it better ;)
