I've been playing Destiny since the early days and seeing new people get into the game never gets old. I get to see the game through fresh eyes again and it reminds me of what got me into Destiny in the first place. What really makes the game shine is finding a good group of people you play with regularly, especially if you meet them randomly in the game. The people you play with can really make or break the game. If you don't know anyone who plays, I've danced in the social spaces and messaged people who joined me ever since D1 and so far that's given me better luck than LFGs. Easily the best way to find a raid team, I've met several long term friends doing that. Lately there's a lot of negativity being thrown around, and I'm not talking about valid criticism at the game but outright rage at the creators over seemingly vague plot points, so I've been keeping to playing with my long term friends because we all like where the story is at right now. We're all lore enthusiasts though so we've been eating up the Lightfall lore expanding on the veil, Nezarec, and Maya Sundaresh.

I have met the BEST people through dancing wherever. Funny thing: we even lived close by, and as if it was fate, I even photographed one of our guardian’s wedding irl. (We talked, and it came to light he looked for a photographer - and guess what: I’m a professional photographer. 😂) We know each other since the early days of D1. Almost 10 years passed by and we still have the funniest Friday nights in history. This comment hits home. It really does. And I’m here for it all. 💜

As veteran player of this game I’m actually glad to see SBMM working to some extent in this game and giving new lights a good experience. Sometimes I feel like people who play this game a lot and complain about particular mechanics of the game like SBMM, can’t see the effect those mechanics have on casuals which are the majority of the player base.

Well, if you're gonna give it a go, first piece of advice is this - especially in PvP, you're gonna want to ADS a LOT more. Hipfiring is basically worse in every way - more bloom, less accuracy, less range, etc. Probably best if you get in the habit of aiming down sights as often as you can - it'll feel natural before long.

I'd recommend playing raids it's the best the game has to offer. Also dungeons they are mini raids you can do them with 3 people or just yourself (they are very hard if you do I don't recommend it) the prophecy dungeon is free it's in the legends playlist.

Welcome to your new addiction. Some words of advice: 1. A.d.s. a LOT more. It cuts the random bullet spread down to practically 0 meaning you’ll hit all of your shots. This is good in pve too because enemies have weak points. Typically the head. 2. Movement is a big part of the game. I encourage you to practice and eventually master warlock movement techniques. At the very least the basic ones like burst glide bunny hop/heat rises bunny hop. Basically if you have either burst glide equipped or heat rises active while sprinting jump then use your glide ability then immediately cancel it. It will give you a boost forward. 3. As a warlock, you should focus your builds on ability regen. The other 2 classes are designed around an about 60-40 gunplay to ability usage playstyle while a warlock with the right build can run and entire strike without firing a single shot. 4. Exotics exotics exotics. Exotics are the yellow rarity weapons and armor that have unique effects that are either passive bonuses or active abilities. Your entire build typically will revolve around them or at least is greatly enhanced by them. Best way to get exotics are from the weekend only vendor xur who you can find by simply googling his location on Friday. He stays till Monday. You can also get them from beating legend difficulty lost sectors while solo. Though you will want to wait until you’re a high enough power to do them. Personally. I recommend for warlock the exotic armors sunbracers, starfire protocol and secant filaments. You can search for builds for them on KZbin but i recommend experimenting yourself to see what works best for your own playstyle
