Cold War and BO3 are secret bangers. The sound design alone in Cold War is on another level that no other game has done. Call in a VTOL over Nuletown on headphones and tell me that isn’t the most exciting thunderous rumble you’ve ever heard. With the voice overs reminiscent of an 80s action movie, it’s all a vibe and a half.

That was THE game that everything finally clicked for me at some point. MW2 was my first cod and I wasn’t really good at that point in time. Halfway through BO1’s life cycle I probably had the worst possible stats. One tdm game I got all 3 big streaks (orbital vsat, dogs, chopper gunner) and dropped a 50/75 game on firing range and from then on I went from like a .1 kd and finished with a 2.00 when I master prestiged I think it was 15? I had a recording that I got dogs in literally the first minute in a game at one point showcasing how far I came from being dog **** to being half decent.

To me, bo1 is very solid. I love the gameplay, zombies was very fun, and the campaign was good. But I prefer bo2 more for certain reasons. Both are excellent games

I started playing COD way back with MW2. BO1 still has a special place for me as I put more hours into it than any other cod game. It's my favourite of all time, closely followed by BO2. I'm old school and didn't like BO3, and by the time B04 and Cold War came around I wasn't playing much at all. I've got BO6 and so far, really like it! It's the first cod in a long, long time that I have played so much in the first week. Not a huge fan of the maps but your map review video summed it up pretty well.

Best COD to ever walk the planet for me is BO3 and Vanguard this is because of the memories I made playing these two. I got to build a closer connection with one of my family members through Vanguard and BO3 was my first COD ever and nothing will ever beat those memories.

BO2 def slept on, the menu music was so iconic and way ahead of its time, the crisp sound of the guns shooting like the snipers n all. BO1 was also slept on as it was the first black ops of the series and sales did really good on it. Treyarch knows the audience and knows how to make good cod games. i wouldn't see black ops being nothing else but treyarch

Much love for the Black Ops series in general. Only ones I played in their prime were Cold War and BO6. BO2 and 4 were close though, playing each of those online the year after. Have still played some BO1 and 3 though, just not quite as close to their main year. Gotta say while BO2 remains on top for me, Cold War is close behind and BO6 so far is also up there on my list. BO1, 3, and 4 I do enjoy them as well, but not as much. With BO3 in particular is probably my personal lowest.

MAN, the dissing on BO4 is insanely unjustified... 😭😭 My favorite BO game. All COD titles before and FPS in general before then wasn't interesting to me because I viewed it too generic at the time. I played Minecraft and Street Fighter religiously back then. But BO4 got me into COD and FPS games as a whole. Grinded Dark Matter on all DLC weapons, reached master prestige, I reset. I will forever love the game, as long as I live.

Outside of the usual issues with modern COD and the lack of maps at launch, my main grip with CWs multiplayer was the scorestreak system. Streaks not resetting on death was a really dumb design decision by Treyarch.
