Nice video Aaron! I’ve watched about 7-8 of your videos now and some of them have begun to help me. In particular, one video about the high register helped me. It helped me in my embouchure change with range a lot even though the notes where very soft. My range currently is low and at times it can be hard to hit an f in the staff and a g just above the staff. I just watched your embouchure video and realized that I haven’t really been using my corners . I have been getting tightness in the throat and sometimes it hurts to play, especially in the upper register. I think you’ve gone through an embouchure change in college so I wondering if you had any tips for me on how to relax and balance the embouchure, air, and tongue correctly ? Sorry for the long comment and thanks in advance!

Yeah I've gone through a couple of embouchure changes and an injury. What did you think of this video? kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX6vmqWbnp5rj9E In this video I talk relaxing and being aware of tension in the throat, embouchure and chest. Did it help? Do I need to clarify some things?

Sorry for the late response, I did watch it and it seems helpful, thank you. I’ll have to try it when I practice. One more question though, where do you recommend the tongue is in all of this. In my old embouchure I used to pivot off my bottom lip so I’m somewhat unfamiliar with the concept of moving the tongue to increase the air speed and setting with the aperture?

I guess generally i'd say at a neutral position where it rest inside your mouth naturally/comfortably. As a general rule (but there are exceptions), experiment with faster air with a higher tongue arch as in (EE like pizza). If you're trying play a low note below the staff try experimenting with a lower tongue arch as in "ooo" (like tooth) and slower airstream. I go into detail in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmHUnn6Xd5x5aZI You can practice this on the various tongue slur exercises I have on the channel like this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKjMaZahf8d3gc0
