how 6AM feels like where i live.. dark blue sky, sun coming up behind my house so i only see it reflect on other houses (im ina city) with no car passing by and the birds waking up and tweeting around

I LOVE this! Is there any chance you would do a tutorial for how you did this?

Wow! Now that's pretty cool. So I guess what's going on here is the field recorder feeds the audio through resonant filters, which you have tuned to notes, which you then trigger with the midi keyboard? Funny you mention in the description you modeled it after an organ, which if I assumed right in how this works, it's really similar to an organ haha. Really great job with this, I'd love to use this tech in my own record production work one day!

really cool! are there any good resources for me to learn about what you've done to create the sounds?
@murrayrobertsonmusic19 күн бұрын
Thank you! There is a good book (not sure if it is still in print though) which walks you through CSound and its various applications. "Virtual Sound - Sound Synthesis and Signal Processing - Theory and Practice with Csound" by Riccardo Bianchini. Its a little outdated but it is what I used to learn the coding language

I have a page which discusses this and an album of mine "Studies in Noise" which uses the same synthesis techniques www.murrayrobertsonmusic.com/studies-portfolio

Was that a filter sweep or a passing car? 😅 novel concept! Very chill…

Passing car! The one time I am happy to hear traffic while recording lol

So ethereal and beautiful. I'm a seasoned classical pianist but I know fairly little about digital music production. What equipment are you using?
@murrayrobertsonmusic20 күн бұрын
@@N3spresso Here, I am playing a CSound patch (not dissimilar from a Max/DSP patch) using a MIDI keyboard. The patch (computer code) takes audio in from the field recorder and processes it depending on what I play on the keyboard.
