Dunno if you read comments on older videos but here is the official lore so far as well as a quick trivia note on each week, enjoy! Week 1 has you fight against Daddy Dearest, He is the father of the girlfriend. The Girlfriend and her entire family that we've seen so far are *demons*. Daddy Dearest is also an Ex Rockstar and disapproves of Boyfriend, so they rap battle for the boyfriend to try to win his approval through the power of music. Week 2 happens much later, but after the boyfriend has gotten the approval of the parents he is hanging out with girlfriend on halloween when suddenly some kids come to the door, They are the spooky boys, named Skid and Pump. Both of these two are created by the animator Sr. Pelo and are even voiced by Sr. Pelo. Anyways they were told that there is a treat in the house that BF and GF were in by the lemon-headed monster, so they came to the house seeking it. Apparently the Monster meant the GF was the treat and for some unknown reason the Monster just wants to get the girlfriend, maybe it has something to do with her being a demon? Week 3 you fight against Pico, Pico is one of the main mascots of Newgrounds and is the main character in the Pico's School series, in Pico's School he was a kid who survived a school shooting by shooting the school shooters. In Friday Night Funkin, Pico is more grown up i believe and was hired by Daddy Dearest as a hitman to kill boyfriend due to Daddy Dearest still being salty about his loss. But pico chooses to rap battle Boyfriend instead due to him and Boyfriend being Ex-lovers. Pico also carrys a gun everywhere he goes due to untreated schizophrenia i believe? Week 4 has you fight against Mommy Mearest, the Girlfriends mother (yes, also a demon.) not much to this one, supposedly after the week Boyfriend wins over the mom pretty easily. i think the mom is an ex-popstar. Week 5 has Boyfriend and Girlfriend noticing Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest holding a mall santa at gun point, they try to stop them and then get ambushed and attacked by the Monster again, still trying to eat the girlfriend. Also in the background of the mall you can see Pico watching, as well as a TON of other newgrounds characters and Hatsune Miku. i should also mention Hatsune Miku is canonically the Boyfriends older sister and if the devs of Friday Night Funkin can get in touch with Miku's owners, they want to add her in as her own week in the full game. Week 6 the Boyfriend is hanging out with Girlfriend playing one of GF's favorite dating simulator games. Daddy Dearest appears and traps them both inside of the game, due to him still being salty about his week 1 loss. within the game BF faces off with the game's "Senpai" and soon learns that there is a spirit of someone else who wronged Daddy Dearest trapped in the game. This entire week was created to celebrate newgrounds Pixel day. Week 7 BF & GF end up in a military compound and meet the Tankmen, and end up battling against THE Tankman, the mascot of Newgrounds and the main character of the Tankmen series.

theres not much story in-game, most of it is revealed in streams and stuff like that the father is trying to stop boyfriend from dating girlfriend, so thats why theyre battling hes also trying to kill bf pico is there because gf's parents hired him to kill bf also gf's family is all demons
