Yeah, every band member respects the music and give space to the song for other instruments in order to elevate the song itself. They don't overstep their boundary and overplay their parts like how the usual band dynamics are. Its why I appreciate both Clays.

Fucking love to see Clay post. I've been transcribing this exact bassline lately on a 4 string bass, there's some stuff in this recording clay does that I can barely hear in the regular recording if he even does all of the cool extra stuff in the original recording there. Same goes to the ABC video! seems that the vids here on the channel are a bit more technical then what he played in the original recordings. keep them coming Clay! I learned so much from watching your videos and from getting into hybrid picking, and I think that you're an inspiration for a lot of bass players! at least for me (:

Dude honestly, this entire band has changed my perspective on music as a whole. The blending of so many different styles and genres. This is beautiful and artistic and I'm here for it. You're the reason I've bought my first bass after playing guitar for 16 years, and you, Tim and Scott are the reasons I've fallen back into those 10 hour guitar days the way I did all those years ago.
