I remember the Ice Age Meldown DVD had this one game that had this clip of some sort of vulture with negative colors making this annoyed sound that scared the shit out of me when I was young. I think it was that memory game.

I remember that one interactive DVD game from the Disney movie Dinosaurs. One hell of a nightmare for a kid born in the 2000s like me. It was a scary but actually interesting game where you move through a cave with three different levels of the game where you move from one tunnel to another that you choose (at least for the first two levels) and on the first level you try finding three dinosaurs, making sure you don't stumble in a tunnel where a carnivorous t-rex lies, then the second you have to find three spots of water, without choosing one tunnel or another where you potentially die, and then the third level you go through two boulders-blocked entrances and you have to choose rocks to move out in the correct order for each entrance. A very terrifying ambience where there is no music and the only sounds you hear are from the cave, some thunder from the outside and the voices of two characters that sometimes speak when you enter one path or another. Honestly, I still have nightmares about this.

I know EXACTLY the one you're talking about. The T-rex scared the absolute crap outta me lol. Had a similar experience with The Santa Clause 2 with the giant tin soldiers.

The Lilo & Stitch DVD game is top tier, its like a science experiment thing where you randomly see a different experiment monster, I think it used a lot of the designs from the tv show that hadn't aired yet

Very cool look into such an obscure topic! I'm kinda surprised there weren't more DVDS that were made exclusively to be games. Putting games on a device most people have seems pretty logical. Dragon's Lair comes to mind as one of the few game DVDs.

Another being Space Ace. Dragon's Lair is also notable as one of the few interactive games on HD-DVD, though that version's kinda hard to find.

@@teh_supar_hackr Space Ace and Dragon's Lair was from the same company. Drug Wars had one. Mad Dog McCree was available on DVD too. Several Visual Novels were released on DVD. There was a moment when interactive story and game DVDs were going to be the next big thing at rental stores. They were never expected to be a hit with the home consumer market, except as special features.

Growing up, I thought the DVD almost all the games for Madagascar were extremely creepy. A lot of the music choices for those games (even for winning or losing) gave off a creepy vibe like something scary was going to happen. The absolute worst though was the mini game when you had to look into Alex’s mouth. He makes a weird “aaAAAAHHHHhhhh” sound, and then it freezes for a sec, and plays the creepiest Hawaii Five O kinda drum, and it just freaked me out every time as a kid. Even thinking about it while typing this out brings shivers down my spine.

Funny enough, Over The Hedge technically has 3 games on the DVD, although the third is actually taken from the Over the Hedge DVD game like Hammy's Acorn Toss, and getting to it was a pain, as you have to do it from thr In Hibernation menu and using 935 as the code.

DUUUUDE, you missed out on the Goblet of Fire DVD game. The Triwizard Tournament was freaky as all get-out as a kid. The dragon, the hedge maze, the cemetery. A favorite (and kinda terrifying) as a kid. You did unlock a core memory with the forest challenge from the second movie though. Cool video overall.

I remember playing the Elf sled game off of my parents dvd player before we had any game consoles, but that's the only dvd game I remember.

I like how this video has a very classic yotuber reviewer vibe. Im shocked by the low sub scount and hope this changes very soon, but if i had one issue it would be audio balancing. Ive gotten criticism against myself for it as well.
