I could be wrong but im pretty sure this was done in Gmod, and portal 2 dosnt work in gmod due to to portal 2 using newer scripts than Gmod so until somebody manages to rework a ton of scripts or directly makes portal 2 vr compatable i dont think we will get portal 2 VR

The rendering of the portals might be a little odd because of the way converting Source games works right now, it can be a massive performance dip if you have more then three cameras in a scene, especially with a game not meant to be converted into VR. You can see this evident even in some unity games, more solutions and discoveries will be coming to help with rendering and convert more games like this to VR.

The ability to interact with objects and shoot portals without looking in that direction, as well as shoot portals around corners would probably speed it up if people got good enough

@@PashaGamingYT false, you can't look around fast enough compared to a mouse without motion sickness, and from what it looks like you can't really throw objects either. Major glitches used in speedruns aren't possible here either, like bhopping and it's variations.

Probably PCVR, it looks to be running on the Source 2 with simply the original map and assets.

@@greetedlight This is not source 2, it's gmod. The addons used are the VRmod addon, Vrmod hud addon and the portal gun addon lol. We do have the assets for portal 1 and 2 ported but we have no way of creating choreographed scenes at the moment so it is next to impossible.

The oculus quest 2 shouldn't be featured like that unless you can actually use the quest to play the game. Otherwise it's just pcvr and not really related to the quest at all

Firstly you need to get money, then using your steam account you need to buy the game called Garry's mod, from then on you can access the workshop and download mods on to the game, simply install the VRmod addon, the VRmod hud addon and the portal gun addon. Oh and also mount portal 1 into garry's mod

I'm I the only one who thinks that not everything deserves to be in VR? I mean it is cool that it works and that you've managed to get it to work, but people probably would get sick or disoriented in the later parts. I mean if someone did a full redesign of the game with VR in mind it could be very neat, but the game ported as is while it looks cool, in practice it's probably meh.

fun fact valve actually did try to make a portal VR game before alyx, they discontinued it for the same reasons you mentioned, playtesters got motion sick and very disoriented
