I can't count the amount of time I traveled through this world. Just looking for secrets, climbing to the secret garden, searching the fruits and lizards, walking through the bridge. Boy was I impressed. I love this game so much.

The "Secret Seekers" as they are called (of which I'm one) have spent an insane amount of time exploring the map, searching for hidden things, trying to get to places you aren't really meant to go, & just trying to see what happens if you jump here or glide there, or blast your body into a rock or a wall. It's crazy that even after 18 years the game continues to fascinate so many & that new discoveries are still being made.

I’ve played all of the variables on shadow of the colossus and I can tell you 100% that the remake on PS4 is undeniably the best one, tons of fixes and overhauls. EDIT: also the ps3 version has a bug adorably named “noodle arms” Sometimes the physics engine bugs out and you legit can’t stop your character from ragdolling while holding a grip on a titan. Leading to a situation where you just have to let your stamina drain or just let go. Bro do yourself a favor and play the PS4 version. It’s just a superior product. With all the old school nostalgia perfectly held in place and the music remastered with orchestra.

"Triangle is jump, what?" Reason why a lot of people hate the OG controls. Nobody really knows why Fumito Ueda chose Triangle of all buttons to make Jump instead of X. And also why I prefer the PS4 Remake, which you need to get. But of course... You don't have a PS4-

I disagree. Jumping in triangle felt weird for me for the first 2 minutes. Afterwards, it felt totally natural, especially since the X button is used to control the horse, which is used way more than the jump mechanic. Also, games like GTA San Andreas put jump in the square button, which should also be weird, but no one mentions it because of how little we use the jump mechanic in that game.

So true about the PS4 "remake". I see a lot of negative comments such as glitches that didn't exist before (which is true), Wonders face looks weird (sort of true), all the remake did was add a new texture to the landscape & nothing more (also true to some extent), but the PS4 remake just looks so gorgeous even 5 years after it's release, it's really hard to complain. Having said that, I would like an option to play the original version should the game get a 4th release in 2025.

Can't argue with that. It's without question the soundtrack I've listened to the most ever out of all my game & movie soundtracks. The CD soundtrack for the game has never gone out of print ever since it's original 2005 release. Quite possibly it's the only game soundtrack that has remained in print that long...18 years & still counting. That really says something.

Hey Mith every shrine has a white tail lizard, if you eat the tail increases you max stamina, you can charge up you hit to max even tho you don't have too much stamina, the trees sometimes have fruits, that one increases your max health

Hey mythy ! tips : 1 : search for fruits on the trees to increase your health bar ! 2 : Search for lizards with glowing tails on the saving points (tower like thing , you can go all the way up and have a really nice camera angle to contemplate this beautiful game) to increase your stamina circle ! 3 : if you change your equipment to "hand" instead of sword, and aproach agro and press the action button (circle i think) you can give him some love and thank him for his loyalty (you can do this even when not moving on top of him) 4 : when you are riding agro, you can press R1 then press Triangle and tilt the joystick to the right or left (if my memory is correct) , wanda will lean one side of agro ,with UP will stand on him and will look * epic style * 5 : if you crouch on the platforms you can regain the stamina bar and not fall over when you are on the colossus ! i finish this game like 4 times and i love it like no other, the team ico games and legacy of kain are like the best game ever created for me ! legends ! thank you so much for playing this ! hope you do ICO TOO PLS!

"Blood, young sprouts, sky" is red, green, blue on a screen; "Ens and Naught" are 1s and 0s and they are "etched" into the disc; "intersecting points" are pixels, each one an intersection of x and y coordinates on a screen; the players "control beings made of light" with their controller; after Wander dies, you can reload a save and "bring back the soul[s] of the dead;" finally, "...to trespass upon that land is strictly forbidden," can refer to the fact that it's impossible to enter a game or to the developers saying that it's forbidden to mess with their code.

There are always Lizards with white tails around the Altars where you save the game, killing those and picking up their tail increases your stamine. Also check for the trees around, if they have fruits, shoot them down and pick them up as they give you max HP. Love to see you playing this game !

Quick actual tips: if you kill a lizard with a white tail, eat the tail to improve your grip strength. Most shrines have at least one and sometimes two white-tailed lizards, but they're good at running and hiding. Black-tailed lizards give you nothing. When you see trees, look for fruit. Shoot down the fruit and eat it to improve your HP. When stabbing, you can go all the way to the outer circle. You're not limited to the pink circle -- that's only there to show how close you are to running out of stamina. You'll just let go completely if that happens. Have a blast, Myth! There's multiple ways to kill most of the colossi and figuring it all out is great. After you beat the game, you should also try the time trials.

This game is truly art. And dont worry about the horse, he does not really get hurt by the colossus, although he may limp for a bit if he gets ht directly. He also does not fall down ever, so no need to worry^^

Im sure a few people have already commented this but when you kill those lizards I'm pretty sure you can eat the tail to gain stamina or health I don't remember which one and I believe there's fruit hanging from trees that do the other

Shoot the lizards and collect their tails to increase your stamina and also look for fruits in the only trees you can find in the wild, those are gonna increase your health! Always look for points you can climb everywhere, around the temple and while exploring, the visuals on this game are stunning i love this game so much

This game is so good and i really like you for playing it. Don't forget this as you play, the game mechanics is simple but there is somethings you can discover that make more easy even so on higher difficulties and is in ways newcomers won't know if not talk about it, like you can make your health trice the size eating somethings (if i am not mistaken the lizard is one of them) and have a better sword too.

This game is fucking so beautiful for being a PS2 game its crazy. Its a massive game. Really pushed the boundaries of what the console could do im pretty sure. They really did it so much justice in the remake. There were a shit ton of colossi planned but then it was cut to like 18 then eventually the final number 16. I recommend looking at the video "The Hunt for Shadow of the Colossus' Last Great Secret" after youre done playing. This game is one of my most favorite of all time and the secrets and mysteries of universe are so fucking cool.

hey mythymoo when you stab, you can wait until it fully reaches the circle. When the pink circle is depleted that's just grip stamina and you will let go of what you're grabbing but has nothing to do with strength

This is my favorite game on the PS2 and maybe ever. The first note and I already have shivers, so insane. The camera and controls are actually a little wonky, that's true. You have to play the game 4 times to get enough stamina to climb the central tower btw, hope you do that (your stamina gets increased each time you beat it). Oh and you can pick up the lizard tails and grab onto birds to fly a bit😂

Little help for the game There are trees in the game with fruits on them, use an arrow on the fruits and go over to the fruits and you'll get a permanent stamina boost for the entire game by eating thep

Also when you stab, you don’t need to stop the stab at the pink circle, you can go all the way to the dotted line regardless of how much stamina you have

I don't know if you've done playing this yet, but before defeating the last colossus, revisit the places with pillar of lights (where you fought the colossi). It's beautiful.

If u see some big trees around the world they probably have fruit that u can shoot down and eat to gain health and there are save points (little temples) around the world with salamanders, if u kill the ones with shining tails they give you stamina (or the other way around, health and fruits stamina, I don't really remember)

for the future at every shrine, the are small whitetail lizards if shot and killed u can pick up the tail by using the button that u grab with and they will increase the stamina bar. and I am a little disappointed that u aren't making the video on the remake because of the graphic and control change and nothing else has changed
