The thing about new audiences is simple. You compete with the giants to get the more casual players. They won't stay. They'll enjoy a dip for a while and then leave to go back to their Apex, their Fortnite and their CoD or Overwatch. And competing with those titans is a losing battle. The niche is how you compete. And this? This isn't Hunt's niche. That's why you see older players saying they don't want to stay. Because this isn't the niche they came and originally stayed for. Airburst semi-auto frag grenade launcher. And people would scold others for saying Fifield was turning this game towards CoD and call them doomers.

well its not "free" kills as you still need to aim, there is absolutely NOT homing saw blades. Also, anyone has the ability from level 1 to bring up to 4 ammo boxes. If youre running the shredder, it would be smart to bring at least 2 ammo boxes to re up as it shoots fast and is not an auto down so you can still run through plenty of ammo before downing someone. I still haven't used it yet and have only been downed by it 1 time, just yesterday, and it was a trade down. Its not that strong and i've seen plenty of people down themselves with it and not even touch an enemy. Also, if you're lucky, the blades can be shot, meaning if you shoot at the shredder while they are shooting frag ammo, it can absolutely blow up in their face killing them. I found it out on accident and have done it more on purpose but not with a high success rate. Head shots are easier to hit.

Every game, that is competetive has a meta, because when there are different weapons, or cars, or characters or anything else some of them will always be better then other and people with tend to use to more powerful stuff, because they wanna win and using it gives you the highest chance to do so. Sure i get what you wanna say with the CoD influence and all and thats fine that you said that, but you cant put meta into a competetive game, it just forms by itself and there is always a meta. its not an issue. 6 stars are usually pretty competent shooters so it doesnt matter what weapons are used. More threatening is the target pledge that tightens hipfire, fanning, levering, dual wield, and reduces weapon sway for all weapons.

The shredder is kinda useless unless in some very specific cases, or at least has been in my games. People rarely push as a team and would rather sit outside, and I’ve never seen a full trio using this. Anyone complaining just look at the clip of them at reynard mill. A full trio with long ammo and crown would clean the lobby in a fraction of the time it took them.

Not sure if im correct, but when you choose weapons, you can choose multiple ammo types for some weapons? I noticed some rifles have 2 slots for 2 ammo types, is this the case here? Kind like how the bow can have concertina and explosive rounds etc.

The easiest thing to balance it is that you can’t extract with it. So there is only ONE of this per match. It will still be oppressive but you won’t have up 3 guys per team running this thing. But yeah crytek needs to do something about this and need to do it fast, I’m enjoying the event so far but this thing needs to be balanced quickly

I just got into the game again, found out they added a crossbow that revives/heals instantly, explosive arrows/bolts, now the shredder frag blades. These things shouldnt exist in this game honestly. Takes away from the setting and the idea of shooting wild west guns, one of the best sound designs just becomes obsolete when sprinting around spamming this is the meta

In the preview I noticed the weapon had poor design choices-me, just a simple player. How could Hunt "experts" let this happen? The people who understood the game are no longer part of the design team. Or maybe it's because Rachta and his friends are top players? Also, the enemies seem to be 1- or 2-star players; they don't even fire back sometimes and always show their backs. Even so, the video shows that this weapon urgently needs changes.

Im a 6 star player and i can tell you right away, you can not fight back, if you stop to aim, this explosive thing will rip you apart before you are fully aimed, thats why your option is to try to hide and hope for forgivness
