I've been playing Blanka for around 30 years, and yes, I get like this on occasion. Mostly when someone counters what you're doing only to fall into another trap, or when, after being gimmicked to death, you switch to playing "honest" neutral/footsies and they are so worried they make mistake after mistake.

So Blanka's upball is weird compared to most anti airs. The i-frames are on the active frames where most dp i-frames are on the start up. This is why you'll lose a lot to jump ins you have to anti air early unlike most characters.

This video made me go look it up and yeah it looks like up ball isn't nearly as anti air as you'd expect lol the hitboxes just aren't there for it apparently, I just kind of assumed it was as good as Headbutt or Flash Kick

Not only the hitboxes, but it more importantly just straight up doesn't have air invul on startup (it's air invul starts with active frames instead which is weeeird)
