Luigi's recovery is abusable in certain scenarios, but in many it's also really strong. He's floaty, has an amazing double jump and his up B snaps to ledge instantly from really deep still. People underestimate Luigi's recovery honestly

MxM_Prime his vertical is obviously good, but have you realised that his up b goes absolutely nowhere horizontally. He has to be directly underneath the ledge in order to use it, and that isnt easy when your airspeed is the second worst and the only thing he can use vertically (his side b) has no priority, has loads of endlag and is painfully easy to punish. This video is a really good example actually, elegant consistently dies off stage because armada sends him outwards, making it impossible for him to recover

I never meant to say his recovery isn't bad in terms of getting edgeguarded yourself, but rather that in a way it's good enough to still go deep for edguards himself too. Usually the vertical recovery is all you need to be able to go deep, and being floaty helps with staying down there too. When going on the offensive his recovery is fine, just when being edgeguarded it's trash.

To be honest I like watching edguards. It's the thing I like about melee. Too bad there aren't more characters like Luigi in this game with abusable recoveries. Top tiers like inkling, ZSS, Pikachu etc get back for free and all you can do is two frame them most of the time.

@@mxm_prime2191 In some cases yes, besides saying those recoveries are get back free cards when people have actually edgeguarded them or punished them repeatedly is kinda dumb, and alot of characters in ultimate have abusable recoveries.

@@Paperluigi97 Yeah every recovery is edge guardable at some point, if you take their jump and send them extremely far out, usually requiring them to be in kill % anyways, yes, you can edgeguard all recoveries. Every pro player also knows that and still uses the term "Gets back for free" especially ZSS flip kick is the infamous "get out of disadvantage "for free" card " So if you think everyone who uses that term is stupid for using it, I guess you think all top players are idiots too. Good job, almighty smash analist.

Joshua Connor, problem is I don’t know if they will touch him. I don’t think they want any of the old top/high tiers to be the same as the previous game. there’s only small acceptions but they are still not as good as their Sm4sh counterparts. It’s not a fact or anything but it’s so obvious that they aren’t touching any of them or are doing such minimal changes that it doesn’t do anything. Seeing Falcon get a buff is on the same level as seeing Kirby’s air mobility buff or Little Mac get a buff. I want it to happen but I don’t think it will. I main both Luigi and Falcon so I’m all for fixes/buffs for him.

​@@ImEcchi Falcon was never top tier in 4, and only a few people considered him high tier after Fatality started placing well. And remember Falcon has already gotten buffed, now we're just asking for fixes to some moves that don't work and his dash. Many of the Japanese falcons have started complaining, and that's why I think Falcon will eventually get at least some of the fixes he needs. Also the reason why characters like mac won't ever get major buffs (even though he has been buffed several times) is cause while he's terrible at high level play, he dominates inexperienced players, who happens to be the target demographic of Smash. Falcon has never been that kind of character, and so it's not unlikely for him to get fixes.

@@JB_CY Luigi is a highly polarized character possessing both great strength, (combo and kill power) and great weaknesses ( sluggish and lacks approach options). Luigi also has a mediocre recovery. Any character so polarized is either going to steamroll, or get bodied.
