It's crazy how much of darts is all mental. He accepted he lost and was just throwing without overthinking and ended up playing some good stuff. I know it sounds dramatic but he was mentally free. Darts is very cruel the way it messes with your head. I wish I didn't love it so much.

100% agree with u bro, my cousin who doesnt care much about it, just plays for fun, he can play good stuff against me coz he plays freely and just asks what needs to be hit and goes for it whereas me being such a darts lover and knowing all the checkouts in my head, i put too much pressure on myself to produce the goods instead of letting my hand flow and just dont think too much. When i stop thinking and just get up there and hit, i play my best stuff.

If i was 5-1 up and my opponent did that, wed have a good laugh and then id finish him next leg. I doubt Dylan would have been embarassed.

Rydz always seems annoyed with himself when playing. He was all smiles when he was down to 2 darts. He played excellent with 2 darts, no expectations, no pressure.

Glad Rydz could just laught it off and play some good darts, even if he lost. Lets not undermine his opponents victory either, absolutley mad that he doesn't have a spare set of darts for a professional player though.

I can distinctly remember something similar happening during a (obviously televised) major, with the afflicted player borrowing a dart every turn from his opponent. Think his point had split. Want to say it involved Justin Pipe. I’ll update if I find it. Really difficult to find for something so rare.

I don’t understand why it’s apparently not allowed that Callan would just have went to the board, pulled one dart out of it and have thrown that one instead of his usual third dart. Sure, usually darts players are supposed to have extra material. But, I don’t understand why in such an very, very, very unfortunate circumstance he just couldn’t have thrown one of those two darts twice each time?? Who comes up with such a rule? If you think I’m wrong, then please explain to me why it’s more fair this way (that a player, in such a very unfortunate circumstance, is forced to continue the game with only two darts)? I mean I very much doubt Callan did it on purpose (not bringin’ any extra material), right? No comprendo!!

Well he kind of got in this situation _because_ he lost his temper; hadn't he yanked the dart sideways when trying to yoink all darts at the same time in anger, he wouldn't have broken the dart to begin with. Still, the way he accepted the situation, and almost won the leg afterwards, was really good.
