You can tell a lot about the person by how their dogs act. Those two dogs are pretty mellow/great/peaceful. That makes her someone I would love to sit around the campfire for a spell.

Whatever I purchased needed to fit into my garage, hence the decision to buy the Tag. I envy your lifestyle and hope to do about the same when I retire. I think you made a great choice! I also have a similar video with a fellow traveler and his T@G. I am excited to publish it at some point. Both of these trailers are what I call exceptions to the rule. Basically I say stay away from anything coming out of the larger RV industry. But, over the years I have come to find that narrative doesn't apply to these two trailers.

I do like the teardrops but I’m up in the PNW and knew there may be more rain than some places, so I wanted standing room. I also wanted something I could bring a grandkid or two. I went with an Aliner Classic Off-road with hard sided dormers. It folds down super easy and travels behind my rig. There is plenty of room inside to keep camping extras like a screen room and rug. I can have the big bed set up full time and also have a dinette. I usually just get a power campsite and use a stove in the screen room or off the side. I use water containers and a garden pump sprayer for dishes or feet. She could get a small alpicool cooler that has a freezer. Get a portable additional battery system, like a Jackery and put it all in the rig. Adorable. I think she would love an Aliner even more, due to the floor space, table standing room and two beds.

What a lovely lady, I believe her that I could do it, there's a lot of people you see and you think they'll be OK until the novelty wears off, but this lady knows what she's doing, has the tent as a living room and the trailer as a bedroom/kitchen and knows how to live off grid. It's so nice to see a Woman doing this with 2 dogs! I'm 5'6", have 2 smaller dogs, and a 5'6" husband. The teardrop seems a good size for never-been-ers / hopeful beginners. The kitchen height as a person much shorter than Drew and closer in size to Sheila I have a hard time figuring out the right size kitchen hatch for my size and style without living on a step stool for comfort/not over reaching all the time. I've casually been researching teardrops (primarily on this YT channel). I'm ready to take 3months traveling with all 4 of us but I'd be the one doing most everything. My husband has only been glamping a couple of times in his Lifetime totalling less than a week. He's a city dweller who values convenience and I love the unexpected adventures to be found. If I can do it all, he would be able to stick his foot in on the easy end until he realizes he loves it too and we adjust then. 🤞😁 Thamks for all of the videos you put out! They're very educational, entertaining and mini virtual vacations sometimes. I love seeing the options out there on a simple level.

I am so glad to hear you are putting attention into your galley height. I think this is something many people overlook. To May and I the galley is everything! Okay, maybe not everything but it is the feature we use most often and the feature that warms our heart when we think about teardrop trailers. And the times we have used galleys that were not the right height for us, those warm feelings were not there. It really impacts the usability of the space. Your scenario sounds very similar to ours. We like to tell folks that we basically built this channel and our camping style around May. My original goal with camping was to find out how to keep May outdoors longer. Each trip we made micro adjustments to our gear and organizational style. In the end we made it work. So much so that when we had to leave the Bean trailer to go back to the "real world" after three months of living in it, May didn't want to leave! Early on in the channel I realized if we can figure out a way to get May excited about this, we can help any family get their hesitant family member excited too. Hence the concept of the channel. It really is a channel about helping the least comfortable person in your family become comfortable. Because once you do that, nobody wants to go home! Glad to hear you are enjoying the content. And we are excited for more mini virtual vacations to come. We finally have a nice open window this spring/summer/fall to make those videos again.

I have a Bean and go on adventures with my standard poodle.{See Travels With Charley by Steinbeck} I typically go out for a few days and have my working children meet me on the weekends after I've secured the best spots. I often stay when they go home. I like your trailer jack. I also have to get the trailer backed into a garage with a really tight 90 degree turn, working alone. I have a Trailer Valet 5 which also works really well getting the trailer up an incline and over a lip on the driveway apron. Hope to meet you on the road.

What do you do when you have to leave your vehicle/teardrop to go into a building such as a grocery store or a museum or a National Park visitor center? I am specifically wondering about heat and/or people breaking windows to “rescue” a dog. I have a teardrop and a dog, and I want to travel with him but haven’t figured out how to safely handle that when I may need to be away from the vehicle/teardrop for a longer period of time. Right now I just have him boarded, and I travel by myself on short trips, but I want to do more cross country trips and would love to have him with me. 😊

Nikki Deventhall lived in her prius for 3 years with her dog... she has YT channel as well.. when she leaves her pup, rarely, she puts a large note on window stating that her dog is ok, the AC is on, and whatever else that will allay peoples' concerns.. it asks that people not break in, and so far as I can tell she's never had a problem like that...hope this helps

I have a Casita 17 Liberty and as such I feel as if I have a 37 ft 5th wheel when I see these teardrops! LOL. In all seriousness, I agree with her and Drew that Clams (I have a 5 side Venture with panels just like them) give you a great outdoor "room" that you can leave open for breezes and close up with panels in rain. It gives you so many options for enclosed (read bugproof) spaces that can accommodate dinner guests and sleepover folks in many weather scenarios. If I didn't already have my trailer I would look very carefully at a Luna like hers. Love seeing different ways to accomplish the same things, camp on!

We have tried many of the Clams. And like you, we have chosen the Venture. We find it to be just right in all categories. Large enough to accomodate our outdoor living room for the whole family, 5 sides vs. 4 which just feels better inside, and not too large so it still fits well at smaller campsites. We have been to many campsites where you only get a little bit of room next to your trailer before there is a drop in elevation.

I was 19 the first time I spent a night in a home size trailer. I was amazed how Comfortable. I felt. I felt safe, warrm. Slept like a log the whole night. Didn't do it again until 47,bought a 25 ft. Motor home. Best purchase ever.not new The only thing was gas gage not working did not get it fixed until I ran out of gas one Morning that day had it replaced. Then know Prolems.

Thanks for sharing. I spent 9 months in a truck camper when I drove border to border; coast to coast. I had a small half ton truck, with a small hardshell truck camper on it. It was very similar in size, facilities, and capabilities. There were a few advantages, such as I could cook inside, I could stand inside, and I could take a sponge bath inside. Being a small truck, it drove like a car with the smaller wheel base and was highly maneuverable. Life was generally sitting around the table, stretched out on the over cab bed. For batteries, and power, the truck battery itself provided enough power because the engine ran enough. My setup did not include the TV, or separate HVAC. The Kitchen was continuously set up. I remember pulling into a camping spot in Yellowstone, days before it closed in winter. It was only minutes to drop jacks for stability, and be enjoying a hot meal in front of warm propane heater. I guess the one big difference with the tear drop is taking the shoes off outside before you enter the bed. It looks like you also "live" outside the teardrop a little more. That involves more setup of the living room. I also like the smaller urban footprint of the truck camper, that allowed me to park in non camping areas and not attract attention.

The last camping trip I went on was free camping with zero amenities. Dug a pit toilet and just covered any mess with ash from the fire pit. Never smelled, never attracted bugs, and I buried before we left.

I really do thank you because this will be good for me and my son to go enjoy the outdoors which he loves he don’t like very many things but he like the outdoors my son is autistic and us being able to go camping and be comfortable this right here is very doable for us thank you so much. ❤❤
