Legion from your channel got me and my friend into tabletop period. We went from watching all of your legion battle reports to kill team and then 40k, picked up and build the entire prequel units and sets and now I've personally been to TWO GTS all in under a year thanks to this channel, so although the legion videos don't do well thank you so much for making them!

Rules clarification: If the attacking unit is touching a piece of terrain the defender cannot gain cover from it. e.g. if both attacker and defender are in the same terrain neither get cover from attacks. Great to see legion on the channel!

The game is so streamlined compared to 40k. I've been able to teach people to play this game in less than 1 full game. My buddy and I are still wrapping our heads around 10 E 40k lol

@@barriegraham4306 can’t stress this enough! I got into tabletop wargaming via MESBG, then Legion and finally 40K. I’m the target audience GW made 10th edition for. What can I say? 40K feels ancient. In my last 40K game I had to roll 40(!!!) dice at the same time! FOURTY! I get why people like the game tho. I love lore and books, but gameplay is way behind Legion

Hey this is totally not a criticism but you are actually able to spend Dodge tokens at anytime during defense, it doesn’t mean that you cancel anything but It can activate Ashoka’s Surge to defense, but love the idea and can’t wait for more Star Wars legion content.

Mentioning this, because it keeps coming up, You can spend Dodge tokens even if there are no hits to cancel. You can spend a dodge to activate deflect and give Ahsoka Surge: Block and deal 1 damage back to the attacker.

Love the game and enthusiasm. Hope the guys take a little more time to read keywords and rules. Immobilize token only lower speed by one, disengaging takes both of your actions, and Mando's have impervious, which let's you roll extra dice against pierce.

Withdrawing takes your whole activation, but when Maul gets Disengage he can move freely out of melee.

Sabine's Grappling line also gives 2 immobilize, so Maul cannot move.

Great battle report! I am so happy for another Legion video, but I must say that Immobilize tokens only reduce your speed by 1. Meaning that this Maul could have moved for two turns with speed 1, that could have prevented Vanessa to even reaching this far, as he could have thrown his saber.

Not sure when this was filmed but your opponent bamboozled you. You can always spend dodge tokens, regardless of whether a hit was rolled. So, first it says you can spend dodge tokens if you have them, and if you spent them they cancel hits. So, being hit is not a requirement. However, there's a stronger clue in the same section where it literally says "Units may spend dodge tokens even if there are no hits in the pool" pg 30, Apply Dodge of Cover, point 1 Oh well - if there's one thing I've learned in 30 years of gaming is people always make mistakes. I'm only at 16:01 so hopefully those (at least) two wounds you shouldn't have taken won't have an impact.

Maul's card prevents the spending of any tokens for units he's engaged with. Look in the core rules. Exceptions override the normal rules.

@@Jfund12 this was early in the game where his opponent rolled only crits and said, since he couldn't cancel them with a dodge token he couldn't spend the dodge token to activate deflect. This happened two attacks in a row.

Yeah, multiple misplayed covered shots. If you're on the same terrain or shooting from the defending unit(S) don’t get cover from the terrain. I loved the game and thanks from streaming it!

You should always give Ahsoka Situational Awareness so she can dodge criticals, and Offensive/Defensive Stance so that she can gain two dodge tokens per dodge action. Remember that she can use dodge tokens to improve attack die results.

On 13:25 you could have spent the dodge token and then you get surge in defence, but it would not cancel the hit.

Nice match! I think they used the Nimble rule wrong because it specifies AFTER a unit defends against an attack, so all attacks would resolve first then, if you have any guys left, they get a dodge to pretty much tide them over.

Awesome table! The game was very fun. But Nick, you didn't use the Pathfinders properly imo. Danger Sense is a very tanky keyword, and suppression doesn't reduce their mobility thanks to Dauntless ;)
