This song will forever hold such a fucking SACRED and special part of my heart. My friends and I would lay out on the trampoline looking up at the stars listening to this, or drive around town with the windows down blasting it. I was happy, and young, and so fucking free and full of hope. He truly has a way of capturing a specific sliver of time and turning it into magic we can listen to. My friend Claire and I saw him live at a place called the Creepy Crawl (shut down now) in St. Louis and I'll never forget it. Got to meet him after and he was so, so kind and humble. I'll always be a fan of his music. He helped shape my childhood, and my friends, in a way I don't even know how to explain.

This song helped me so very much in a way that’s hard to explain, helped keep me in a good place when things were so bad. I bonded so strongly with a friend I would call my soulmate, platonically. I was in high school hopping from couch to couch and trying to graduate while being essentially homeless. There was a lot more going on that’s too much to type lol. This song always made me cry and get out what I was feeling, while giving me hope when I had ran out. I really wish I could pay him back somehow for being there and getting me through it.
