how did you keep your playroom so clean and organized? I'm amazed
@allhart Жыл бұрын
It really helps to have a place for everything. My children have learned where everything goes and that everything has a home. It’s when they don’t know where things go that things will end up cluttered and disorganized. My children also know not to take ALL the toys out. They use 2-3 at a time especially if they’re playing with their castle pieces, and then once they’re done playing put it away. It’s really all about routine and structure ❤️

I love this so much! Great job! How are you liking North Carolina? I’m also here but I’m Jacksonville NC. Sorry to ask about the couch I really love it! Didn’t see it linked. ❤
@allhart Жыл бұрын
Ya know….NC is growing on me. When I think of California I’m just like, “ugh…traffic!” 😂 So I love that there’s no traffic out here and how green it is. But I do miss friends and family. It’s hard to make friends when you’re older 🤦♀️ especially friends that you feel you have a lot in common with. We joined a homeschool co-op just so the kids can make friends and have time outside to socialize..but even then it’s tough to connect with some parents. 🤷♀️ We were in Swansboro before which was closer to Jacksonville. Now we’re south near Calabash. But we used to love going to the skating rink in Jacksonville! We miss it. Maybe we can do a play date there!
@Motherhood1 Жыл бұрын
@@allhart hahah yeah the green is what got me to love it here. We moved from NY to Charlotte and then Jacksonville. Funny enough we haven’t tried to skating rink yet and I really want to. My daughter is 6 and my son is 16 months. I’m not sure how baby friendly it is. We do love to go to zing zumm. I’d love to have a play date. I agree it is hard to make friends. I joined a homeschool gym class and it’s literally like pulling teeth trying to get moms to talk. 😂 I have like 2 friends now. I’ll message you on instagram!

Forgot to answer your question about the sofa 🤦♀️ we got it from restoration hardware, super comfortable and you can remove the cover to wash it…major plus👍

Pretty tidy room... until my twins come :) they would mix up all materials together and make a huge mess:(
@allhart Жыл бұрын
That’s understandable if they’re still very young. But certainly a great time for them to learn little by little how to take things back to their home (designated area). I would encourage incorporating some baskets or trays that are easily reached and have them work on one or two activities at a time (then clean up) before moving onto a different activity. ❤️

What are those menus next to the grapat pieces that use grapat?
@allhart Жыл бұрын
They’re just little recipe cards that my children use to follow a food recipe. We have menus also. And we also have different grapat cards that have shapes, letters and different themed designs. They’re wonderful to use in connection to the grapats. I highly recommend them ❤️ You can find some of these cards on Etsy.

Practical life area or pretend play is not the same thing dear
@allhart Жыл бұрын
You can engage in practical life activities through a pretend play setting. It is why play takes such a vital role in a child’s development. Just because they are using wooden knives to cut pretend food, doesn’t mean they aren’t actively learning a life skill. ❤️
