Danny., it has enough for now, there’s like 10 PS5 only games they won’t fill 640GB. U have to use external drives for PS4 games, that’s the whole reason Sony made them compatible. Consoles r all abt exclusivity and cheap but quality gaming, so Sony wouldn’t have done this normally. Just wait a couple months and M.2 slot will be functional, at least b4 15 large PS5 only games launch.

I just love how with each generation of playstation, it's always a new style and has its own unqiue sounds and features. If you look at each playstation they're all very different from each other. I just wished the Series X did the same because its interface is nearly identical to xbox one and the controller is basically the same. Consumers won't feel much of a change in anything (except for games obviously) and it would basically just feel like an xbox one but much more powerful. Sure, there's nothing wrong with that but it wouldve been nice to see changes considering the fact that consoles will last an average of 7 years

Great job, very comprehensive! Best I've seen for someone new to console gaming. Coil whine is definitely an issue when converting AC to DC power and utilizing PWM, you need a bunch of noise filtering via reactors and ferrites, which I'm sure is sacrificed in cost saving.

I had my ps5 since launch and I’m very impressed with the system. It’s quiet unlike the PS4, the controller is amazing it’s probably the best controller I ever used, and the loading is basically instant. I had my console crash ONCE but since then it never happened again, so overall no problems.

@@RepublicofODLUM When you have a game update on PS3/4/5, the system create a copy of the game where the update will go and then delete the old version of the game. This is done in order to optimize the time the game takes to seek an info on the hard drive. My problem is that it has no reason to be on PS5 since it uses an SDD and thus doesn't require this kind of optimization. In fact it's even heavily detrimental to the life span of the SSD because it depends on the amount of infos you write to it

I have a PS5 coming in and am very much concerned about the issue surrounding having the PS4 games on an external drive. I still have my PS4, but I would love to move all my library form the PS4 to the PS5 via an external drive. But I keep reading how there are just major issues with that. Not sure what to do here as I would like to either trade in my PS4 Pro or hand it down.

Check Twitter for Target drops. So much easier to get a unit from Target since they only allow store pickup (keeps bots away). I originally scored a digital bundle from GameStop but cancelled it once I got a store pickup confirmation from Target. Felt better knowing I could physically walk into a store and get my console rather than having a USPS employee steal it

For example a guy named The Professional (Well knowned from GTA Online because he showed many guides on how to make money) had to camp at Target for a few hours in his car then when it opened he Quickly got there and he got lucky and he got one. Apparently he was scared of getting punched in the face and Somoene taking it so he was quick. Damn Oppressor MK2 Griefers. Makes our boy scared that he thinks in RL someone might "Grief" him.

Big backlog? I have over 20 games to play. Beat 5 so far. Just mainly going for story but my oh my did I miss tons of games after 2015. The black friday/cyber monday sales and ps sales were too good for classics. And awesome some are enhanced over their ps4 performance.

I looked it up and it seems other people have that issue, should get patched with a system update hopefully. It's only happened once for me tho thankfully :)

I played FIFA 21 for the first time on my PlayStation 5 and the way EA implemented the triggers is when your players are fatigued the triggers have more resistance when running, dribbling, exc. Not ground breaking but very neat and a way to just immerse me even more into this next gen console I’m in love with it!!!

I owned a detailing business for 20 yrs. and yes, pretty much all SiO2 ceramic coatings for your car are also rated for plastic trim ( gloss or matte ) as well as glass. Not sure why but I feel like I’m struggling with the ui I guess because it so different. I only turned on like 5 time in a month since I had it. I had to look up why I couldn’t rent a movie so I was getting frustrated when i thought that the PlayStation store was broken

Couple things I’ve noticed over the past few months: The USB-A ports don’t charge controllers in sleep mode, only USB-C. The ‘What’s New’ section not being there immediately or even at all is sorely missed. The trophy list is now cards. The list was better. Almost every game has has crashed or froze at least once, Maneater crashed frequently resulting in glitched trophies. Sometimes the system just turns off in sleep mode and gives an error message on restart saying it wasn’t shut down properly. The battery compartment on the media remote is absolutely horrible to open and shut. The plastic pedestal the console rests on horizontally is wobbly and seems crooked all the time. Other than that, games work wonderfully 99% of the time and the controller is superb.

After two weeks of ownership of the PS5 (digital version) I can whole heartedly agree with this review. Luckily, I only had one issue with the console on it's first day - failure to sustain a connection to my wifi, but all was remedied by connecting via ethernet. Since then, I have really liked the speed and quietness of the console. My PS4 Pro was just very loud but with this console, there is no noise that I can hear. Loading screens are a thing of the past, really. The new controller is fine, but don't care for constant vibrations (depends of the title). Got the new Pulse 3D headphones which sound great and are more comfortable to wear than my Platinum Sony headphones. All-in-all a great new generation console. It's just a shame, however, that Sony's method of getting these units into consumer's hands is so broken.

Exactly, every new console was such a huge step up from the previous and the changes were so futuristic that you were actually mind blown when you saw it for the first time... There is nothing futuristic about the ps5 in fact every new feature is so common that it almost feels like old technology. you know it's a huge bust when the controller is it's main target for advertising.. its a Nintendo Wii controller for goodness sake lol and it doesn't even have back paddles..

As someone who grew up with PS and PS2, I can assure you that's because getting older because I felt the same way when the PS4 came out. Still I'm nowhere near excited about PS5 compared to first two Playstations but I think PS5's launch is relatively better than the launches of PS3 and PS4. I agree. I almost preordered but decided not to. There just isn't the same excitement about the launch lineup like previous generations. Demons souls remake and Astros playroom are not enough. When Ratchet and Clank, God of War 2 and Horizon 2 are out I'll be getting one. I am really looking forward to playing those games.

It can feel underwhelming because of the gaming trends, lots of current gamers arent suitable for gamers who been around a while. Last Of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, those scripted gameplays with excessive storytelling dont appeal to people who used to play Tekken, Streetfighter, Dead or Alive. Anyway, gameplays that everyone can enjoy will return, and we still got some good ones, like Dirt 5 where you can turn off the lame podcast and just do pure gaming. Remember when everyone said that the future of games were multiplayer online and that in the future there would not be single player campaigns? Campaigns are back and multiplayer/online requirements has disappeared, they will still try but they cant kill off good things. The current trend of guided scripted gameplay was still big when most of todays games went into development (Cyberpunk 2077 was planned 8 years ago), if the big studios will not bring back classic gameplay then indie will, its getting easier by the day to use existing engines to develop games on a small budget, sure many 12 year old gamers frown upon Unreal Engine but people nitpicking on graphics flaws arent gamers anyway, in the greater picture they make a lot of noise but got low impact.

@Feral cat 120 fps and 4k resolution isn't anything new it's old news. They have 8k and 240FPS monitors.. Nothing new just updated the same machine to be nore consistent with existing tech. The graphic changes in ps2 and ps3= next level, online gaming= next level, 4k compatible= catching up with the rest of the world
