It seems like playstation is giving up on the Playstation VR2 gaming headset. I decided to sell mine and in this video I breakdown why with the PS5 the Playstation VR2 headset is no longer worth it.

It is great PSVR2 , I have play saint and sinners, beat saber , and multiplayer PAVLOV and is soo much FUN!!!

I love the PSVR2 and they have more games that are cool then just Call Of The Mountain. Yes, they have 2 more in the works but willing to wait. I don't always play cause I'm a busy man, but definitely enjoy it when I do play. I say I'm riding it out and patiently waiting.

The Switch have a much larger market share than the PS5 and more people play in Xbox’s ecosystem than PS5. Xbox has more than double the monthly active users than PS5. You’re looking at things from an outdated antiquated perspective. Sony themselves internally consider the PS5 a failure. “Every” video game company measures success by software sales and monthly active users. Xbox sales more software on PS5 than Sony does. Xbox has over 200 million monthly active users, PlayStation only has 97 million monthly active users. (That’s a decline of 5 million since the start of this year.😮PS5 might suffer the same fate as PSVR2. (I personally know about 10 people that sold their PS5 in the last three months)You notice PS5 doesn’t get any first party AAA games anymore. This is easy information to find.

Looking forward to seeing how their upcoming pc adapter workouts which is why I hung on to mine. Plus I have a racing sim setup with Gran Turismo 7 that is on a different level in VR. But I completely get where you’re coming from.

Yea the PC adapter is cool..but it will be limited on some of the features that were exclusive to the PS5 console. But I think the adapter was a smooth move for people...however you would still need a powerful enough gaming PC to be able to use it. Which is more money unless you already have that PC.

Just got mine a few days ago and I love it, but I also only use it for sim racing, the selection of games in the future I really never cared about, but it is sad to know there isn’t really a future for it, I mean I’m excited about the PC adapter but PC won’t even be able to access most of the features that even made it worth getting in general

I love my PSVR2 especially for Gran Turismo. The price indeed killed its sales. Same with Apple’s. VR should be more mainstream than it is. You hired folks for these projects then killed their careers by getting greedy with the price. Then have the audacity to hide it behind lack of interest. It’s 2024, start listening to the consumer of the products, not the consumer of the shares. You’ll get your money when we ALL have something we love and can afford.

Bro Gran Turismo on the PSVR 2 was next level I can't even front! But the price of the system killed it's sales..if they were able to lower that price point I think we would've been having a different conversation. I completely agree in the times we are living in right now, there is no way that VR shouldn't be more mainstream...but the biggest bottleneck is the price...in this economy right now where everything is so expensive people aren't just running out spending money like that anymore especially when it cost more than the console itself. I don't have the VR2 due to pricing. Would get one second hand if price is good and good condition, which is what I did with the first one.

I sold mines when the quest 3 dropped it was ok for a week then it had to go wasn’t playing it plus the price was crazy

Man that’s sad. I wanted to buy a PSVR2 but here in Canada its about $800 and i just can’t justify it knowing I’m only going to play either horizon call of the mountain (which the bundle makes it almost $900) or gran turismo.

It’s basically a PS Vita situation but with a peripheral, not shocked by this at all. Especially when you consider around 10 years ago Sony decided to pour over some of the exclusive vita titles over to PS4 to sell more money. Sony on their gaming division will bring something out and then they expect everybody else to support it when they don’t even support it themselves, at least to point where they probably should.

If it was dead they would do drastic sales on it. The only sale was the $100 off few weeks back. Still hoping they make more games for it but it has a huge library at the moment.

I'm disabled and on a VERY fixed income, I just got my PS5 because they said I HAD to upgrade to play the new Destiny, after I bought(financed) a new PS5, 4TB Samsung 990Pro w/ heatsink, 2 copies of D2 Final Shape(200 bucks cause I want my dad to play with me) and DAY 1 the controller is BAD, Sony tells me I now have to PAY to send it BACK to them! Add insult to injury The Final Shape PLAYS ON THE PS4 when Bungie said it WILL NOT!!! I took a screen shot! they refunded my money I had prepayed. Curious how there was a system update right when I got this notice and it COMPLETELY corrupted my PS4 Pro which was only 6month old FORCING me to upgrade everything.. Sony is out of their damn minds with what they are charging. I have been stuck indoors for 8 YEARS, all I do is game, I have Over 12K hours in D2 Alone and this is how they treat someone who has played their products since DAY 1.

I bought into the PSVR hype with the Gen 1 release and pretty quickly noticed that it was no more than a side hustle for Sony with the meager support it got so I pledged to never buy this Gen 2 model. Guess I was right and dodged a bullet.

I love mine, but I also brought it for $300.00 so I'm good, as far as games I love the Plenty of them so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. They may not be Sony's first party titles but a lot of the 3rd party games are just as good and I'm having a good time with it.

If im gonna be honest I hate that they can't even make a proper console especially because that it was 800-3000 at the time it's sad asf. I've encountered SO MANY BUGS AND PROBLEMS it's not even funny. Might consider selling my ps5 and getting a Xbox because this is just ridiculous.

i'm hanging back on the Playstation handheld until they get some good games on it as we bought the PS Vita they only made a few games for it and then discontinued the whole handset so it could be the PlayStation VR2 story all over again
