I'd say people have a much bigger reason for this though, since Naughty Dog did push identity politics in The Last of Us Part ll, so why wouldn't they do it again here? The Yotei bashing is a lot less warranted though. While we should definitely be sceptical since identity politics are a bit of a virus in western developers, that doesn't change the fact that people have spread false information about the game to fuel hate toward it.

Based on the trailer I am not interested at all in ND’s new Ip, if it wasn’t naughty Dog it could have been one of a myriad of Sci Fi games out there that all look very samey. A new Uncharted would have been huge, it makes you wonder wth is going on at Sony. I find it funny though that these same people leaving comments on intergalactic threw a fit on the game awards comments when they saw ciri was the main character calling the game along the lines of "wokler 4". I am disappointed that Stellar Blade somehow did not win best music & soundtrack, which was the most shocking thing i seen at the Game Awards. Astro Bot deserved to win 100 percent. It was the most fun i had in a game this year, it has universal appeal for all ages and demographics of people, including potentially being a kids first video game, and is a testament to more sustainable development cycles, an example for the rest of the industry to follow. Team Asobi is now going to have so much more creative leverage and leeway thanks to this, in addition to being a more well known developer in the industry as a whole. I like the new ND game. It looks like it takes inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is not a bad thing to me.

Intergalactic will be a summer 2026 release date I’d guess. ND has always released theirs games in May or June. Along with the information that we are getting 1 first party game per year for the next 5-6 years from Sony itself. Yotei next year, Intergalactic the following year. Santa Monica new game 2027 or 2028 I’d guess will launch with the PS6

Naughty Dog’s new game looks amazing. A Cowboy Bebop/ Akira inspired space western bounty hunter game by Naughty Dog seems like a dream come true. We all know the gameplay, graphics, and narrative will set a new benchmark in the industry. A soundtrack from Nine Inch Nails alongside a stacked cast, combined with Naughty Dog’s magic is certain to deliver a fantastic experience. Jeez guys, just let ND cook. As for the protagonist character design, I understand it not being so appealing to everyone but the design 100% fits the retro future genre and is not something we haven’t gotten before. There are many beloved bald, female characters like Ripley from the Alien franchise, Furiosa from Mad Max, Ilia from Stark Trek, Asajj Ventress from Star Wars, etc. Bald women are literally a sci-fi trope at this point. As for her “smug” attitude everyone is complaining about, it completely fits the bill of her being a young, slightly arrogant, impulsive bounty hunter. Y’all will complain about anything from Naughty Dog, but y’all forgot that they are industry leaders for a reason. Now we need to see some of the gameplay Neil Druckmann has been hyping up.

I think Intergalactic is a huge disappointment. I am getting serious Concord vibes, as in nobody wants this. I accepted Ellie as a protagonist because of the story. I don’t want to play as a bald headed space lesbian. I think you need to know your audience and Naughty Dog has miscalculated. I get these types of settings elsewhere. As of this early point I have no intention of playing this game. Saying that about a ND title seems so foreign. I’m bummed.

I can’t wait for Neil and Naughty dog to prove people wrong and hopefully sway the people to their side. One thing for sure is that we know the gameplay will be incredibly deep and that Neil will write a unique story that won’t be safe but be fresh compared to other cliche and safe stories in AAA gaming. I could care less about what naughty dog does. I could care less about Neil. Drukman's opinion on religion and it doesn't surprise me he wants to implement something like that in his video game, because this guy is clearly unable to separate his personal feelings and business. A basic fundamental asset Good businessmen and women have being able to separate personal feelings with business.. having said that, Sony took bend studio, who has no experience with live service and has an incredible IP like days gone. And forced them to do a live service, l o l clearly this game is going to fail, and I don't even need to see it to know this. That genre is so full of game after game, and this is what Sony chooses LOL not surprising. I think Herman holts, Neil drugman, in Jim, Ryan, are destroying what Sony was. It's very unfortunate.

Intergalactic is the first Naughty Dog game that has me hyped. Didn't play any Last Of Us titles and not much Uncharted either but played all there early work. Always had respect for them but I think this new step is gonna put them on a new level and I bet this series leads to movies or shows as well. Narratively they rarely miss.

Jez Corden - Xbox will no longer have Xbox console exclusives anymore, the only reason every single upcoming Xbox game hasn't been announced as multiplatform yet is just because some of thier studios aren't properly setup to work on multiplatform releases at the moment. 🤣 EDIT: Jez added that Avowed, Hellblade and South of Midnight are getting playstation ports. It's over lads, Xbox gave up completely.
