From the research that I have done. It's a lot of work to switch from UE4 to UE5. A lot of games that switch have a lot of bugs. I think it would be best if they stay with UE4. Square has earned my trust with ff7R so I trust them to give us a high quality third installment no matter what

FFVII Remake Part 3 is up there in the gaming olymp of the most anticipated games for me with games like the Ghost of Tsushima sequel and Witcher 4. Rebirth is GOTY imo..

I believe Santa Monica is working on multiple projects as well as other Playstation Studios Teams. Part 3 for FF7R will be insane given the latest info on it yesterday. Final Fantasy XIII Remake being teased by Square Enix would be wild. They only reply back when they know what fans want could happen. So I think it is possible and I want it

FF13 is considered the worst Final Fantasy game. It would need more than a remake to make it successful l. It would need a complete overhaul.

@@ODDEYE_XIIIHow is it the worst FF game? For me it’s better than FF1 and 2. I found 13 very enjoyable and I’m sure many people did too. What most people hated about it is its linearity but it made sense story-wise. There’s just no way it can’t be linear. Its gameplay is straightforward and that’s what I love about it. Quite refreshing in JRPGs. Think of it as an arcade game. It won’t take too much of your time customizing. I kind of agree with you on the overhaul though. Maybe change the story a little especially at the end of the first game so that it won’t need to be a trilogy. 13 was a rushed game after all and a lot of ideas were scrapped. In fact, the developers said the amount of scrapped ideas were enough to make another game. Seemed like there were a lot going on with 13. Such a wasted potential. I love its world design and visuals. That’s why I believe it needs a remake or a reboot.

As a die hard fan of the FF7 remake project, it's hard to ignore the fact that a lot of people are rejecting it. I blame all the favorite KZbinrs for it in part... They continually hype it up for release only to trash it after release, and I defy anyone to name very many examples of this not being true. I also blame multiverse exhaustion and people broadly rejecting SE as having gone "woke" in many projects. I reject any idea that the measly Xbox audience of mostly shooter games would make a difference, but I can see how limiting to PS5 probably hurt them... Probably needed to have it on PS4 and/or PC as well.

I think the only Final Fantasy games that need to be remade is 6, 7, 8 and 9. The pixel FF games are their own beast and should just stay as is. The reason I think 6-9 need remakes is because that's where the stories for Final Fantasy really began to take off, and seeing them updated graphically and with new mechanics of the modern era would be amazing. Final Fantasy 10, 12, and 13 I feel are still perfect for their time and even by today's standards (except for maybe 13). 10 and 12 got a remaster and that's all it needed. Maybe in 10 years we can get a 10, 12 and 13 remake.

I think Cory Barlog's new IP has been in development since well before Ragnarok came out. Weren't there rumors as early as like 2019? And Cory didn't work on Ragnarok for a reason. I think they're big enough to have two teams. So the next God of War probably went into early development after Ragnarok released.

I would love to see a remake for final fantasy X in unreal engine 5 don’t change the story but add to it and improve the original story. add new area’s, new mechanics to the summons you would be able to control like in the original and make combat more fleshed out like in rebirth.

FFXIII could use an "international" version with an additional class-basically gun mage (bigger damage at a bigger cost, no ability to stagger) & additional abilities for commando (which were added in Lightning Returns) & med class (a "holy" damage that rav would not have access to, an ability that would boost the % to inflict status for sab or boost the time for syn abilities to last). LOVE that game, still looks better than even some ps5 games (sadly), doesn't need a lot of work.

FF7Re doesn't need to switch engine. A good game doesn't entirely depend on only the graphics. FFX and XIII trilogy don't need remake. Maybe remastered. They are good enough. I would like to see III, V, and VI remake but SE already said NO to VI remake. 😢 Need Chrono Trigger remake with a lot of Toriyama style 2D anime cutscenes!!!

Yes. I don’t see how swapping engines is going to save development time. Especially swapping to UE5, and engine notorious to eat away at games performance, and Rebirth always had performance issues. I don’t see part 3 benefitting from UE5 whatsoever. And no, I don’t get why anyone wants a remake or remaster of ff13. That’s literally the least favorite title, behind even 12 and 15. What I want SE to do is either remake FFT in the form of 2.5 HD like triangle strategy or at the very least give us a pice remaster of FFT.

I really want an FF13 Remake. I’ve been a fan of it since the very first trailer was released. It had such incredible and unique visuals, world design and soundtrack. The graphics was one of the best-looking at that time. I think it would benefit from a remake since it was a rushed game. A lot of ideas were scrapped. The developers probably love it so much that they made a 3rd game. I can see now why they gave its title ‘Lightning Returns’. Seemed like they put back together the scrapped ideas in this last game in the trilogy. The Overclock was in the very first trailer. It was said that the amount of scrapped ideas from the first game was enough to make another game.

Gow Ragnarok was boring as fuk. I couldn't stand the game after some time. Also I'm not going to consider any game from Santa Monica unless they divorce themselves from sweet baby or other similar consultants. Same goes for square enix. I wasn't impressed with ff7 rebirth either. The highlight of the game was literally the card game. Everything else about the game just felt ....bland.
