Some time has now passed since the last video in 2018 so here is what I've been up to trophy wise since then. taking a lot at the updates in my Trophy Logbook and collection on the PS5 and PSN Profiles.

The thing about TLoU 2 is the gameplay is a step up from part one, and is very satisfying to play but it's sooooo depressing due to the bad story choices 😭

For me the story in tlou2 is amongst the very best in the history of gaming. Just because it didnt click for you doesnt mean its 'bad'

@@andrewrutherford9255 Here's my take - I wouldn't have minded the death in question if it wasn't as ridiculous and insulting as it was. Any death would have shocked me the same way, and they could have achieved the same emotions they wanted (anger) but not done the character dirty. Then forcing me to play as that character left such a bad taste in my mouth that I stopped playing for several days. How can I care about a new character that has been introduced in such a way I'm bound to hate her with all my being? They could've even stuck with the same story outline but paced it all differently, like playing with Abby before the incident so you could develop some relationship with her. By the end I didn't hate Abby anymore, because she just wanted vengeance, but I didn't care about her either so if I was supposed to that failed, I just became indifferent to her. There are people who still hate her despite her reasons and people who grew to like her, so it's all personal. So I stand by my comment, the choices made when laying out the story made me feel depressed and angry while playing, and I didn't have fun until my Platinum playthrough where I just focused on the gameplay and ignored the story. If Neil wanted gamers to feel so annoyed they'd dump the game then I'd say that's a poor decision, as many games kill characters you care about and make you sad without you wanting to turn it off.

@@VaultBoySteve thats like saying game of thrones is bad because they killed ned. Joels death is the motivating event for the game, you are then meant to "hate abby with all my being", the entire point of tlou2, and why it is such an incredible and almost unparalleled narrative is they take you from hating this character, then after seeing her perspective on the events and walking a mile in her shoes that by the end its no longer obvious who the protagonist and antagonist even is anymore. If anything at the end im more on abby and levs side than ellies - a character ive loved for almost a decade now. None of these ideas are entirely unique story directions, but in tlou2 it was pulled off to such an incredible high level, i think it will be a long time before we see another games narrative hit that well.

I'm grinding Battleborn in the moment. The servers of that game are going to shut down January 31st and I really want to get the platinum before that. The game is flawed and lacks lots of polishing, but I gotta say that I still enjoy it! Sometimes I just play it by itself, sometimes I listen to YT videos or music to keep myself entertained, but overall I enjoy it more than I would have expected. If the game still had an online playerbase and live service, it could have been a very solid experience for almost everyone! Unfortunately, lots of things went wrong when it came out and it never had the opportunity to recover from that.

Currently I'm playing Death Stranding for the first time, I'm astonished by it. Very excited for it to be my next platinum, but sad at the same time 'cause it will end. Great video, as always!

Man, Death Stranding was amazing. I know people hate it, but I love regardless. It's my second favorite of all time. My first being Days Gone. At around chapter 2 I was debating whether or not to get the platinum, because I knew it would be my most difficult so far. I eventually decided once I beat the game I would get the platinum. It was a HUGE grind but honestly it was worth it. For the average person it takes about 100 to 110 hours, but for me it took 90 hours. Hope you enjoy the experience as much as me. Tips I have are play online if you can, because people place stuff down that will save you tons of materials, only tear down ziplines if you are completely certain you won't need them ever again, always take as many orders as possible, and tackle the big region first, then the smaller region where you began the game. I loved hearing you talk about your trophies it was a awesome video / podcast , i haven't collected alot of trophies in years , i did platinum spiderman and i need 1 more for the last of us part 2 , but i could not even tell you my trophy lvl cause last time i looked i was 27 and since then they changed how the lvl works , i have mostly played everything i could on my xbox except my exclusives of course , so iam kinda all xbox now i do try to get all the achievements if its a game i love , i believe the last game i got all of the achievements on was modern warfare 2019 but i did that last month i took my sweet time , but anyway awesome video

Thanks for the perfect video to listen to while doing some covenant grinding in Dark Souls 3! (Sounds like you love that stuff just as much as I do lol) As for my 2020 wrap-up, I think it's safe to say I'm officially a trophy hunter now, as I jumped from 6 to 16 platinums this year (warning: very long comment like last time, lol) 1. Spider-man (2018) (Did most of the work for this in 2019, but it popped in January, so technically a 2020 plat. Pretty good game, though I was really tired of doing those crimes by the end) 2. Dark Souls 2 SOTFS (I love this game more than most, and had a great time revisiting it. Not quite as good a game or trophy list as DS1 or Bloodborne, but still pretty fun) 3. Nier Automata (had played it once before, but went back and started from scratch since it's one of my favorite games of all time. A bit more grinding than I would have liked with fully upgrading all the weapons and pods, but still a great trophy list overall, and an incredible experience) 4. Cuphead (LOVE this game. So much so that even though I had like 3 games close to platted, I put them all on hold to make cuphead my tenth. It was a challenge for sure, but not nearly as bad as I would have thought, though some of those bosses on expert, namely Wally Warbles and the Devil were a doozy.) 5. Spongebob Squarepants- Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated (Loved the og on ps2 as a kid, and had a lot of fun revisting it. Also a very relaxing plat to follow Cuphead lol) 6. The Last of Us Part 2 (I have lots of issues with this game, and my overall feeling on it change day to day, but I did actually enjoy my second playthrough a lot more, despite the fact that most of my issues with the first playthrough still stand. It's very much a mixed bag for me that I love and hate almost equally, but the platinum was actually really enjoyable for me) 7. God of War 2018 (Great game, great platinum, though Niflheim was a chore, and the collectibles were no fun at all. Sigrun more than made up for any issues I had with the list, though. I had a lot of fun fighting her) 8. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order (a really cool game, but a bit of a mixed bag in the gameplay department. I enjoyed the game overall, but the platinum kind of sucked. The map was horrible, and 100% clearing out all planets was just no fun at all) 9. Until Dawn (I played it once before, and got a middle of the road ending, so I had to go back and get all collectibles while saving everyone, then go back and kill everyone. I had a surprisingly fun time going back for these. I guess I enjoy this game more than I thought I did, because I thought the replays would be boring) 10) MediEvil (Never played the original, or the first remake. Not a great game to play by any means, but the atmosphere, soundtrack, and overall charm of it made up for any shortcomings for the most part. That being said, the lost souls quest is a complete waste of time). Currently working on Sekiro (which I did on Xbox before fully becoming a trophy hunter), Dark Souls 3, The Last of us remastered (just Firefly journey left), Arkham Asylum, and Death Stranding.

Btw just so you know, you don't have to do King Dice hitless for that trophy you're talking about. You just have to end the fight with 3hp. Meaning you could equip the twin hearts and land on every heart on the board, get hit like 5 times, and still get the trophy

Congrats on 2020 is your 2nd best year, right now tied with 2014, of earning 13 plats! (Best 17 plats in 2017) 👏 In the last 30 days I completed 46 games on 100%, platinumed 38 games out of them from 52 -> 90 plats & to 103x 100% and now I'm a bit burnt out, so spending more time on watching KZbin. - Played a lot of Ratalaika games and don't understand the hate about them, because they published a lot of enjoyable games and I spent about 1-2 hours in the most of games each.

Just started trophy hunting this year too because I had way too much time. Did around 20 platinums including Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and GTA V. GTA was hell due to online (god I hate multiplayer trophies) but finally did it. Really proud and looking forward to more trophies.

I finally just got the platinum of Nioh after taking a 5 months break of this game, it's my 87, I've enjoyed it. The only trophy I hated for that game was the 60 blacksmith requests because it just added an extra 5-6 hours of endless farming which served no purpose.

Currently grinding Earthfall. Got all the missions done, so I just need to kill x amounts of various aliens. Might go back to Aliens: Colonial Marines and Killzone Mercernary soon too. Yes I only realised that in the edit! So heres my thoughts for you: Initially I enjoyed the game as it was more borderlands and I really enjoyed 2. However it wasn't really doing anything new so I get a bit fed up with it and it kinda made me question why I liked Borderlands 2 in the first place. I'm not sure if I'll go back to it, I've not felt the want to really finish it and the story hasn't compelled me to want to go back either. Maybe someday I'll return as I did have fun just not enough to keep me playing. Thanks for watching and have a great christmas =D

The way I track my Platinum is I take a snap then nr the Plat & write a little sentence summing up the experience. Also always me to share it with whoever cares 😂 But I'm kinda thinking of trying to do KZbin seriously. I've got a couple of personal gameplay vids but I never actually cared was anybody watching or not. Still would need to learn how to edit and what not 🤷

Impressive list! I had to start over on a new PSN account because my original account was hacked. Not a big deal actually, because my trophy list was a incomplete mess, so I was not motivated enough to hunt for Platinum trophies. I made a new account on my PS5 in november and I'm at 10 platinum trophies now. Currently playing Rayman Legends again. Amazing game, but a disaster to Platinum. (Seriously, fuck the Truly Awesome trophy for that game. It's not awesome.) Still 18 games left to platinum after that. Very motivated to platinum them all. It's very satisfying to have a list with games that are all 100% completed with Platinum. ^^ My most proud Platinum is probably Just Cause 3. The wingsuit challenges in that game are insanely difficult. I actually got the Platinum for that game twice. (On both my previous account and current account.)

I’m after Detroit BH platinum at the moment I just finished a playthrough where all survive so it’s out the way but now I need all Conor deaths and all magazines plus a few scene specific ones where I need to make a different choice like don’t save hank go for the criminal instead for e.g. I’m impressed by ur list some of those are seriously hard and time consuming:) 👍🏻

I'm grinding the long dark. I do love the game, but I lost my data on day 460 and need to redo survive 500 days. It's a big chore at this point. But, I can't quit on it.

my platinum for the first borderlands was that much more satisfying because there was a 7 year gap between the time I stopped playing (halfway through the game) to the time I returned to complete everything

Difficulty trophies are such a huge turn off for me. But that could be because I already play ever game one the easiest setting as I choose to enjoy the game instead of having to worry about actually being good at it lololol. But seeing you achieve some of those trophies pushes me try harder and hopefully obtain those damned things. Maybe one day, with the games I really love.

I’m a fellow trophy hunter myself I’m currently at 30 tryna get to 50! my problem is I mainly play rpgs (long) and fighting games (online trophies) so mine usually take awhile but I’m gonna start playing some shorter adventure/action and platformers like Spider-Man and spyro

I've been helping people for the strong achievements/trophies for many years now and 14-15JAN I will install it again to help some friends. It's one of my favourites. Definitiely with me and in 1 weekend you can get at least the platinum. 100% also but that will be a little bit longer. Not too much, you almost got everything. I have the persona 5 standart platinum, you don't need to follow a guide, just do the palaces in one day and you are set, start ranking sojiro after august and make a save in early september in order to read/play all games, by the end of the second gameplay you will have all trophys

Also wait till flu's days in order to farm the reaper, by doing that you will have enough money and level to get all personas

16:20 In case you didn't know, the list is organized by the order in which you last played them. I believe you can change the layout, but I haven't messed with it. I'm a little embarrassed by the amount of time I spent with some games. Edit: I believe the list is organized that way... That's the way it is on my ps5, anyway.

I currently have 0 platinums although I have a bunch of games that are relatively close,I need one more for rocket league 😀 and a few left for the order. I've done the first 4 uncharted on crushing and 4 was so hard on chapter 20,how long did you take to do that chapter?it took me.like 5 hours!!!those two armoured machine gun guys,sometimes they are split up and harder to kill with just grenades and and ended up dying trying to run around the map for more ammo,might complete lost legacy next on crushing then eventually I'll go back to them because they are so good to get platinums on them.
