Loved the video. Some top platinums. Well done on achieving the grand slam. Given that you enjoyed Nioh 2 so much, you should play Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. Much like Nioh 2 it is split into main missions and sub missions. I had a great time platting it last month. The combat was excellent and it was fun exploring for all the battle & marking flags. There are a few challenging bosses but overall it’s easier than the Fromsoftware titles.

In all my years of gaming, 2023 was the first time I got a platinum trophy. Not only did I get one platinum trophy, I got two! It's kinda addictive.

I am kind of sad that you are not much of a Spyro fan, the third game was always my favourite. As I understand it the vita ports of Ratchet and the Jak games are terrible, best to do on the consoles. Happy 2024 to you btw.

Some parallels with mine. Overcooked 1-2 ps5 remaster thing instead of moving out 1-2 Miles Morales instead of sm2 Some psvr 2 ones Unpacking Nioh 2 remastered Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart instead of your R&C Resident Evil 7 instead of your 4 remake Spyro 1 remake (did not impress, not going to do 2-3 even though I own them technically oof) I beat Untitled Goose Game but hated it so much I didn't plat it. of course I've got a lot more than that, but that's some overlap there, much more than expected.

I like your Grand Slam idea....unfortunately, I don't have a ps1, psvr, psvr2, or a ps2 anymore. I would recommend that for your Vita game, your DON'T play a God of War game on it. The God of War games on the Vita are glitchy and may not unlock the trophies for you. Happened to me....but I was finally able to finish God of War 2 on it last year. Still trying to finish the first GoW on it...only 2 trophies left. Profiles says it is a 5/10, on the Vita I would say it is more of a 7-8/10....especially the Challenge of the Gods. Good luck in 2024...and wish me luck on finishing the GoW series, only 4 left to platinum

Jak & Daxter on PS Vita's framerate issues are mostly frontloaded. Not saying the version is the way to go for the game, it isn't, but for some reason that beach area in particular with seagulls chugs really badly and that's nowhere else in the game. There's actually a worse issue later on that no review I ever read of this version ever mentioned, which leads me to believe not a single one of them played more than 10m of the port before farting out a review. That Jak cannot grab the edges of moving platforms. Now you can pretty simply precision jump onto stuff without a problem. But that extra buffer of being able to grab a ledge isn't there anymore, you just slide right off into the abyss. :D I got the platinum on Vita though. It's one of my favorite platinums to get. idk I just find it fun to do. Even in the worst version. ALTHOUGH, the fishing minigame is easier on PS Vita with the touch screen. So it's not all just bad on there. I imported the L2/R2 attachment for Ratchet and Clank games on PS Vita and it worked like a dream. It was actually easier to do the hoverboard tricks in... the first? game? I would recommend if you could get the PS3 Collection, because the games deserve to be played on a better suited platform. R&C Up Your Arsenal was always my favorite, but my copy of Going Commando on PS2 didn't work. It would freeze in a cutscene which autosaved and then it would force me to restart so I didn't get to beat it until the PS3 version. R&C games are also platinums I just enjoy getting. The Skill Points are great, and I wish more of the PS3 games required you to actually do them for the platinum. They got very lazy in the platinum design later on imo. I also used that attachment for Borderlands 2 (talk about framerate problems... I didn't get far) and more successfully I used it for remote play. Poor Vita. Try as it might, it had it's share of problems. If you just got one more successor you probably would've been perfect PlayStation handhelds. Instead we get a goofy streaming thing for $200 that you could just do with a phone and controller. Or PC and controller. Or with a PS4 in another room (great feature I use it all the time to stream my PS5 from other rooms in the house since I have two PS4s in different rooms so can play PS5 in three rooms without much fuss.) I digress. Enjoyed your video as always. I'm going to write up a few highlights of my trophy journey of 2023 and reply to myself. Congrats on hitting the grand slam. I failed. I didn't have any VR games anyway, but Jak X proved too difficult... in my mind. Since I just kind of gave up when reading on about the trophies. If only I could've remembered how to play Rogue Galaxy. I only have a grind to max level and some minigames to do to get that platinum, but last time I tried I ran into enemies I couldn't damage and have no clue what to do with them anymore since it's been years. I digress again~

I started off 2023 badly with a game I absolutely hated, Biomutant. Which spiraled me into a bunch of easy platinums. Which kind of set a tone for the year. But I did quite a few platinums I'm proud of too. I'm not really ashamed of easy stuff, I need a break after 50+ hours of a terrible game like Biomutant. I tried to give it a fair shot, but when an open world game is empty AND actively punishes you for exploring it by locking quest items behind the start of a quest you've yet to find... no. Later on in the year I played Immortals: Fenyx Rising and loved it and it allowed me to explore as I wished and if I found quest items, I could grab them, and then when I started the quest there was unique dialog about finding x or defeating y already and the Gods telling me how super cool I was. PS+ giveth, and it taketh away. I'm more proud of Peppa Pig than Biomutant. At least Peppa is cute, and feels like a game the target audience would adore. It's good for what it is. I was very curious to try it since it was on PS+ as well. Favorite Games/Plats; - Immortals: Fenyx Rising - Final Fantasy XVI - Platinum #300: Final Fantasy VI - Final Fantasy V through I followed, I was going to count up to 300, but didn't want to burn out and then have to delay getting any plats. I ended up enjoying the process but wanted to be sure I got my favorite game as my 300th. It was fun to beat all these since in my shame I actually never completed most of them. - Lost Words: Beyond the Page - Beautiful plot, solid gameplay, lovely art design, amazing OST. A gem I found thanks to PS+ - Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS4) - Stacked, but still proud to get it again. And it was mostly fun to play again, and I got most of it with my nieces this time. - Kena: Bridge of Spirits (PS5) - Beautiful game, will definitely platinum it again. I regret not buying it sooner. - The Pathless (PS5) - Collectible glitched and I had to replay 90% of the game which soured me on it and made me happy I only have a physical PS5 copy (none for PS4) so I won't be tempted to do it again; that release includes some nice art cards inside of it so it was worth over digital anyway. Despite that I did really enjoy the game it was very different and visually striking. Took awhile for it to really 'click'. - Lords of the Fallen (2014) - It's jank, but I enjoyed it other than needing to play it three friggin times in a row. But I plowed through it so I wouldn't forget anything and struggle to get back into it. I may have used a glitch to beat the boss on NG+ and NG++, but he can heal every like 20 seconds so forget him. - Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin - It's jank as well, but I enjoyed it. Other than, again the extra playthroughs required. Fume Knight was my favorite fight. I managed to first try a few of the tougher bosses like Darklurker, that dragon in the DLC [barely]. Sir Alonne was actually the hardest. I had to get nakey and upgrade a ice rapier I had and that finally worked because I had heavy weapons which I usually hate, but got used to with Lords of the Fallen. That just wasn't working for my mage. ANd my spells were just not going to work lol. I mainly melee'd Fume Knight as well. - Elden Ring - After DS2 jank, I wanted to play something a bit less jank. And while the lockon remains terrible just like DS2, I adore this game and crave more so will definitely plat it again (and I plan to plat DS2 vanilla on PS3 too, because idk I just like DS2 even if it's janky, I'm weird). - Sea of Stars (PS5) - I wasn't paying much attention to this game, but man it surprised me and does Chrono Trigger proud. Will plat again. - One Piece: Burning Blood - I usually don't think I'll get fighting game plats, but when I do I feel good about it even if the platinums aren't rare (it's uncommon). -The Deadly Tower of Monsters - Always intended to play this when it came to PS+ but never did. Was letting my + expire so was trying to plow through tons of stuff and this was one, and what a creative game. I didn't like the story/humor much, but the gameplay was interesting that I really enjoyed playing it. And I plowed through the remainder of my LEGO PS Vita game backlog. I think 5 total games. So that was nice to get out of the way. I earned it. But didn't like it. - Biomutant (PS5) - I have a burning passionate hatred of this game and it will haunt me for the rest of my life. Peppa Pig is the light in the storm leading me to sanity. I kid, but I did really find that (Peppa) game cute. - Avengers (PS5) - What a nightmare... and it's mostly frustrating because it should've been a slam dunk. :( - Unpacked (PS5) - I love the environmental story telling. It's genuinely amazing, the pixel art as well... I just didn't vibe with the way they handled the actual game. I would've preferred more structured puzzles than the more freedom available. There's some required placements, but there's usually enough room to fudge it so it doesn't make much difference. I'm sure they mainly wanted to focus on plot, so I get it. I was kinda disappointed since I had it on my wishlist on Steam for awhile. - Dynasty Warriors 9 - Another open world dud. What a slog. - Tomb Raider (PS3) - I like the base game, but the MP ugh. I got them all done but the competitive wins which required 4 people. I did Definitive Edition alongside this, but for some reason my internet didn't want me to be able to join certain people and I couldn't fix it and got abandoned by my group. But luckily found a new one that actually could connect with me [though only by inviting in a specific order *shrug*] so got it over with. Never thought I would bother. Let alone twice. If not for the MP I would've enjoyed the platinum [minus the 'talk to people' one in the story]. There's more but it's mostly licensed stuff or visual novels/easy stuff. I got over 70 platinums so can't list them all. Overall I'm happy with my year and did hit my 60% completion goal I set 2 years ago.

First platinum of 2024; Party like it's 2024, Spyro 3. I was doing Spyro 2 and 3 in 2023. I noticed 3 had that title and figured since I waited that long I may as well wait for a few months and pop that bad boy at Midnight. :D Sucked having that whole game on my harddrive for so long, but now it's finally gone~ freed up tons of space.

21:20 I'm with you about Bioshock. I don't hate it, but I find the game to be massively overrated. People talk out of both sides of their mouth a lot. People hate audio logs in games, but they're OK with them in this game for some reason? It's such a slog to take in the story/lore... Not to mention the Vita Chambers suck out all of the challenge since you just respawn.. Not bad by any means, but one of the most overrated games I've ever played.
