FinTrinity won't start, neither the cmd nor the GUI version. After double click the GUI version just closes itself, the cmd version shows "PRESS ENTER TO CLOSE". Python 3.7.3 is installed. I use Windows 10.

That is strange. Is QCMA open? (It should be) What version of QCMA do you have? (I have been testing it on 0.4.1, released Nov 2016. I imagine it is the same version, but can you please check)

Can you go to the My Documents folder, then PS Vita > PGAME and confirm that there is a randomly named folder like yg554g7g5hbe33 and inside of that, there is a folder with numbers and letters like AAAA#####. Inside of that there should be a folder called sce_sys or something and in there should be an icon0.png correlating to your game. Is that true?

The first part explaining Trinity was intentionally way too fast to possibly be followed. A lot of people like how fast and concise my videos are. If you are unable to follow it, KZbin has a built in function to slow down videos. If that's still giving you trouble, I will be releasing a text article to go along with this video shortly.

What game is it? That error is unrelated. Are you using version 0.5?

After patching my Loco Roco demo it turns form 178mb to 20kb large folder and cannot be copied afterwards.

I have a theory as to why this is happening for certain people. Does your name on your computer have a space in it? For example, "C:/Users/Ducky Ducky/Desktop"? If so, I will have a fix out for this tomorrow.

im using a 3.69 vita and i cant connect to my pc because it asks for me to update my system, if i update the system it will give me 3.71 which will make the exploit unusable please help

You mention that we should downgrade our Vita as the last step but don't say why. I'm a Vita noob and I don't understand why this step needs to be taken.

Trinity relies on Sony more than the hacks for 3.65 and 3.60 do. 3.60 just requires you to visit a website, 3.65 just requires you to run a program on your computer. In theory, Sony might be able to do something to block 3.70 from being hacked in the future. Also, 3.65/3.60 are able to be hacked in a way (Enso) that makes it so you do not need to redo the hack every time you reboot.

@@BytePen Ah okay, I didn't realize the 3.70 hack wasn't permanent or as good as earlier hacks. I just picked up a Vita a couple of days ago and I'm still wrapping my head around everything.

hey dude, just tried this, but it keeps saying that the hacked file is corrupted :/ (C2-10981-9) do you have any idea how to fix this, the "corrupted folder" is in 0 bites, im running 3.70 on a ps vita 2000

That issue should have been fixed. After you using the standalone version or the one that needs python 3.7.3 installed? If you have or can get python 3.7.3, try to download the entire project and run GUI.py. www.github.com/bamhm182/FinTrinity/archive/master.zip

Doesn't work for me, I'm on windows 7 with the latest version of Python. Whenever I open Fintrinity I get a message in cmd saying "Press enter to close". Whenever I open gui.py I get a bunch of stuff I don't understand for a split second and then it closes, I've tried both versions of Fintrinity (the exe and zip ones). If needed I can send a screenshot of the error I get when I open gui.py on discord. Please try and fix this.

I was trying to help someone for like 2 hours the other night with this same issue. Couldn't get a screenshot from him. Any way that you could copy the contents of the black screen and either email it to me ([e-mail]) or share it on pastebin. Feel free to remove anywhere that you see long strings of intermixed letters and numbers. I could probably figure out what is going on if I had that.

hello, great work like your channel, i'm having a weird problem with my vita slim, the internal memory is not showing at all and it's giving me errors whenever i try to flash a firmware into it since the internal memory is unable to read/write, thanks for any help, cheers (i tried safe mode and hard reset)

That's pretty strange that it isn't showing up at all. Does it still boot? What happens when you go to your settings to see how much space you have left?

BytePen Studios thanks for replying, yes it boots and some homebrew apps still work but lost vitashell, it shows blanks, when I try to reinstall firmware it gives me “insert memory card” I do even though it’s a slim and it immediately asks to format it and restart, I do and same thing, even after that, the official memory card (that’s not damaged) doesn’t show up either shows - sd2vita still works but with vitashell I can’t add anything and all utility homebrew apps show “unsafe mode must enabled” like the card unlock for example or pkgj....

What happens if you try to upgrade to a newer firmware? I'm wondering if you would be able to upgrade to 3.70, then back down to 3.65 and maybe it would shake something loose. Be sure you have a PSP/Mini Game first, otherwise, try 3.67.

This is a great schtick you got going I like the overall gimmick of quick informative videos However this one seems slightly misleading as you need the other things (in the videos intro) before you can do fintrinity Man I miss the cherry bomb Wii days Of course it was never that easy for Sony hacks but still I need a one and done 1. Glad you like the format. What other stuff are you missing? I believe I covered it in the intro. Or are you saying that it is misleading because you need those things? I was just saying with my FinTrinity script, it becomes A LOT easier. It is still not drag, drop, done, but it takes out many of the steps that require a lot of time and effort. I agree, it used to be simpler, but there are some things out there (aside from FinTrinity) that do a great job of making things easier. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you get it figured out. :)

Now just need to get a phone that will support android 10 so I can use a controller and then I will hack the vita lol. I mostly want to play old PSP games (mainly Tony hawk games) and have mega storage on my sd2vita. Do you know if there is a way to play ps3 games on a modded vita?

No worries! I hadn't heard about the remote play on Android. I'll have to look into that, thanks! You can't play ps3 games without a ps3, but IIRC correctly, you can stream most games to the Vita. I haven't looked into that in quite a few years, though.

That is very strange. Just to confirm, you are downloading it from the follow website, right? codestation.github.io/qcma/ Is your internet terrible or do you have some super strict firewall on it? It downloaded in a few seconds for me. Maybe you could try downloading it on a different network, like your phone while not on WiFi.

Mostly because 3.65 or 3.60 is better. It has Enso, which means that you don't have to re-hack after every boot. Partially because this hack is the most reliant on Sony, meaning it isn't completely impossible they could break it. 3.60 just relies on a website, 3.65 just relies on software you download on your PC.

What's the specific issue? Also, if you look under releases, there is now a .exe that doesn't need python installed, and a zip which needs python 3.7.3 installed. Which are you using?

It sounds like the Controlled File Access issue another user was having. Right. It is only Windows for now. If you can find the qcma.conf file on mac and tell me the format of that file, I can add it in. I believe if you type in the command cat ~/codestation/qcma.conf it should put a bunch of lines to the screen, one of which should be "appsPath=~/some/path". If you can confirm that for me, I can get it working on Mac on Monday
