Strange. Glad 3.60 worked! Do you remember what happened with 3.65?

I thought so too. After the reboot the firmware was still at 3.67. I tried 2 different PSP2UPDAT.PUP files same result. @@BytePen

@@josipfb9321 That's pretty strange. Did you use the .PUP files in my video's description? Before you did the downgrade, did you confirm that the target firmware was listed as 3.65?

hi! i'm currently following your steps to hack my 3.70 vita with trinity, but i have a question, i just downgraded to 3.65 and the trinity bubble disappeared even though it's still in the memory card, should i delete and reinstall with QCMA or just deleting it be enough?

That's pretty interesting. I hadn't gotten around to downgrading the PSTV I used myself yet, so I didn't run into that. You should be fine to just manually delete it from the app folder.

@@BytePen Hi there. I'm also following this guide with trinity. After downgrading to 3.65 my trinity bubble has disappeared, my Henkaku settings have vanished and I'm getting the error (C1-6775-5) when trying to open VitaShell. This is my first time modifying a Vita so any help would be greatly appreciated.

So after you downgrade, you have to do the hack for that version. Downgraded Vita goes to stock. Here is my video on hacking 3.65. You can achieve a permanent hack by doing the video after it in its end screen as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6qniJKdgNeWa7s

on PSVita PCH-1003. Followed all steps properly, attempted at least 10 times now and I continue to receive error message from Modoru saying: "Error 0x8001002 opening ux0:app/MODORU000/PSP2UPDAT.PUP" I have the update file in the right place and even redownloaded it to make sure it was not corrupt. Please Help!

That message should only happen if the pup isn't there. You are certain that it is in ux0:app/MODORU000 and that your official memory card is mounted to ux0?

@@BytePen Yes i have official Sony 4GB memory card in. no SD2Vita. all plugins disabled and tai folders in ux and ur renamed to 123. im stumped. I tried 3.60 and 3.65. i have the pup file in ux0:app/MODUR000/ I did have an SD2Vita in temporarily when i was trying to set it up, but never figured out how to set it up properly and gave up. Is there something I may need to uninstall or delete that the SD2Vita is causing a conflict with?

Problem solved. For some strange reason my PUP file was named PSVUPDAT.PUP, I had to rename it to PSP2UPDAT.PUP, not sure how I missed this step.

That'll do it. There are various different file names floating around out there. I didn't realize the ones I provided were named PSVUPDAT.PUP. I'll download these and make sure they're named appropriately on my Google drive to make it a little easier. Thanks for pointing that out!!

Sorry to hear about your computer. Hope it gets back up and running soon. As far as which version is better, it's all up to opinion. They're largely the same. I personally prefer to be on 3.65.

After rebooting my vita all my stuff is gone. Came here after you told me to downgrade after the 3.70 exploit. How the fuck do I do whatever it is required to reinstall henkaku if I have the newest version? This is literally just a gigantic loop.

Did you downgrade or are you still on 3.70? Did the Vita ask you to format your card? If you ever see that, do not click yes unless you are okay with erasing your memory card. Trinity is how you get HENkaku on 3.69-3.70 h-encore is how you get it on 3.65-3.68 henkaku.xyz is how you get it on 3.60

You can currently go down to whatever firmware was installed at the factory. I just happen to have a very old Vita.

To downgrade, modoru requires you be able to install HENkaku on your current firmware. So for now 3.69 and 3.70 cannot downgrade. TheFloW has stated he'll release a 3.69/3.70 homebrew enabler after Vita support ends. Therefore, in the near future you should be able to use this, but for now you're unable to downgrade.
