I need help. So I had Sd2vita running with henkaku but I was playing around with the settings in Autoplugin II. I went to the "configure storage manager plugin for sd2vita" and pushed cancel but my system rebooted. Now I lost everything. I don't even have vitashell. How do I get this restored?

can you have games on sd2vita and psvsd at the same time. im curious because i think you can only have ux0 to play games. would you have to swap between the 2 using them as ux0 or do they combine together to make one giant ux0 out of the 2

So... how do you configure having BOTH the SD2Vita and the PSVSD at the same time? I have yet to find a no BS how-to on configuring both at the same time. Everyone always just says, 'yeah... use this plugin and set the PSVSD to uma0 and use your SD2Vita for uxa0', without ever telling you the steps, but literally everyone with a how-to says how easy it is to screw everything up if you don't follow the instructions precisely.

I have the 3g SD2Vita installed with a flashed micro sd card, however how do I install vita shell on it if it can't be read? I'm hoping this wasnt a manual step you had to do before putting my vita back together but your video didn't say to do that.

Depending on what firmware you are on, just redo the steps you originally took to get VitaShell or molecularShell. Once there, you can use molecularShell or VitaShell to either copy over your files or install just the Homebrew you want. Check out the last half of the video.

Hey there i got lost after you insert the microSD / SD2Vita into PSP. When you said 'please note..' i had no idea what you said as you said it so fast. what happens if after i insert the sD into vita, if there are no apps?

If your microSD card doesn't have any apps, no apps will be on your live area. If you install VitaShell manually, you can use it to copy other apps from your internal/official memory to your SD2VITA or you can copy everything from your internal/official memory to your SD2VITA as I show in the video after this one.

@@BytePen Hi there thanks for you reply, your reply helped me and i have got it working. i however have a new problem that my PKGJ shows i have limited amount of space even after my vita tells me i now have 60kg free. any idea how to fix the PKGJ app. i have already went to the settings in autoplugin, but and used the tF card plugin app, but my pkgj still tells me i have limited space

does this require a PS Vita memory card in the system to work? I bought a 3.60 vita, bought an sd2vita with a 256gb microsd, and tried this method, but like clockwork, I ONLY ever get the boot logo stuck after autoplugin reboots. No clue what to do despite following this video to the letter up until that point.

@@BytePen IIRC the issue was that I had a faulty SD2VITA device, so I told the sellers and they refunded me so I rebought one and it was fixed.

It should be, you would just set the USB mount point to ux0 instead of the SD2VITA.

Yes, it can be used for everything except for games launched from the live area. I use mine for ROMs and the like.

I tried following this but something went wrong for me, I got to the point where you use autoplugin to set the new mount points, then the system rebooted and now I cant boot anything. I did make a backup of the original vita memory card into the SD prior to this so I have no idea where I fucked it up

It is possible you got your mount points screwed up. Try booting without the SD2VITA inserted. I would recommend mounting the sd2vita to ux0 and the memory card to uma0 if you have one.

​@@BytePen Rebooting the vita without the SD2VITA did kinda work, the vita rebooted like normal and running the h-encore doesn't rechange the mounting points so I was able to install vitashell again, thanks Now to try to find out what the heck I did wrong Thanks m8, love your videos

Glad you find my videos helpful! :) Another thing to consider, did you flash the zzblank image to your microSD before trying to use it? I don't really understand exactly why, but some microSD cards act up if this is skipped.

@@BytePen I did flash it, followed the instructions in the video step by step, flash it with zzblank then format it with windows Now that I am able to see the vita card's files again via vitashel usb mode, I can see A LOT of the files did not made it to the back up (and because of that they weren't on the SD card), several folders are there but they have nothing in it. I'm betting on a bad backup, gonna try it again before retrying to set up the SD2VITA Thanks man!, you are the best and it's a shame you don't have 100x more subs and views

Haha, thanks! I'm not so worried about the views or anything. Just want to help people. My only real goal in that regard is to eventually get 1000 subs. When you go to make a backup, make sure you set the file explorer to show you hidden and system files, otherwise it will miss quite a lot of stuff.

This tutorial doesn't explain anything really. The installer says the "SD2Vita must be ready" to install the plugin ... so wtf does "ready" mean in this case.

Indeed it is. I've got a 64 gb in my PSVSD and a 128 gb in my SD2VITA for around the same price as a 64gb official memory card.

@@BytePen when i installed the sd2vita plugin it did not delete the vpks i had already installed but i uninstalled them anyway because they were correpted then tried to redownload vita shell after installing auto plugin but it wont install😥

What firmware are you on? It sounds like you are on 3.67/8. If so, I highly recommend downgrading. SD2VITA is much better on 3.60/5. If you don't want to, after launching h-encore, launch VitaShell, hit triangle and refresh the database. It gives you an error because the apps don't actually exist on ux0 anymore because ux0 is now the SD2VITA and they're not on there.

I would recommend it. Check out my video on it. I personally prefer 3.65, but lots of people prefer 3.60.

video sux cause you are acting like some dude with a knife is trying to kill you. slow down and take a breather. i got stuck where there were no apps on live area so i had to go backwards to the site to re install molecular from henkaku. Id recommend to just copy paste everything over from whatever memory card you were using before rather than a fresh install.

Some people like the format, others don't. I'm working on some final touches to a website that I will have text articles on for those who don't. Hopefully that'll be ready soon. :) One way you could handle it is to do as you said, but why not take it as an opportunity to start fresh? I have a video with instructions on transferring everything over in case you don't want to start fresh. Should be linked in this one.
