As a glasses wearer who's scratched the glass on his Quest 2 I'm happy to see there's a way to adjust the PSVR2 to compensate.

Yah it took them a minute to remember, but actually you should slide the visor out to begin with, then hold the headset entirely by the Halo head ring to stretch and place on head, then slide the visor in to comfortable place.

You can buy spacers for the quest 2 that are specific for glasses.

@@TheTacticalRPGOdyssey You can remove small scratches with PolyWatch, I have done so myself, on my quest 2, I'm not saying it will take everything, but I was pretty amazed of the result, all my small scratches was gone, and then I put on Prescriptions lenses afterwards :)

As a now owner of psvr2 myself, I can't help to feel more than a little underwhelmed. I was fully buying into the hype I guess, especially after watching this video. I don't know if it is an isolated problem with my unit or a more general problem with Sony trying to cut costs, but I swear to God, my psvr2 arrived without the extra cardboard on top!! Fuming! The system itself is awesome though! 😬

Why the headset design reminds me of the one from Ghost in the Shell, which looks quite cool 😁. Sadly i’m not a fan of VR, plus, i don’t have any space left in my room to use it. Nice unboxing btw 👍

Hopefully your glasses lenses can't easily hit the VR OLED lenses. They will easily scratch the delicate VR lenses, and likely your prescription lenses, and cause issues when using VR. The PSVR1 was a problem, with many people ruining their VR display. I personally bought a hard rubber piece that protected the lenses from clashing. Maybe this will need one as well. Also, make sure you never leave your PSVR2 in any direct sunlight which may hit the inside, this will ruin your lenses as well (Most VR users already know this, but it's solid advice for new users of the tech. Have fun!

Do people have a quick general top 5-10 games for the first psvr? I played VR a lot on PC but I way way way prefered the 'use it as a screen' use from the early days of occulus than I did by the end of the decade. Like I prefered skyrim with mouse and keyboard with headset on infinitely more than I enjoyed Fallout 4 VR designed for VR with VR controls, teleportation and function, also it still slaps for movies with the psuedo movie theatres in coop with friends watching movies.

I think like many I'm hoping a few things for PSVR2. First I want to see a lot of those old games come back like astrobot. I want to see some more must have games which make it difficult to refute the purchase. And most of all, I want to see this working on a PC (which I'm hoping will actually happen extremely fast). My main reason for not purchasing yet, is I don't want to sacrifice my PC experiences for this much money. I want one VR headset to do it all. Show me that and I'll hurl my money at Sony ;D

Sony will definitely not bring this headset to PC the same way the first one never made it. They want to bring people into their ecosystem, not give PC a good headset where they'll buy games that Sony doesn't see money from.

I'm sure it'll hacked eventully, like PSVR1 was, and PC community support will be solid around it. PCVR nerds will find this premium headset desirable af at this price point. This thing trades blows with Valve Index for pros/cons and has some really cool features over the Index, on paper.

We did impressions of the game from the show floor, but looking back I don't think we did. It was our first E3 as Easy Allies and I think we were more focused on getting to E3 for hands-on. Nintendo would usually have their Direct literally right before the show's doors opened. Later years we ended up figuring out how to split that schedule up. -Bloodworth

if it's the biggest VR library get a pcvr. sony makes their own library and developers will be more eager to develop games for psvr2 because they wont have to deal with multiple device and can optimise only for one device. Same as why people buy apple devices for because of the ecosystem and ease of software developement. no one complains when it is apple. even more people buy everything that apple throws at them.

It’s not cheap, but people spend a lot more money on TVs primarily used for gaming. I’d personally rather have a PSVR2 and a $500 TV than a $1050 TV and no PSVR2. The more expensive TV will look a little nicer, but the PSVR2 will open up entirely different kinds of experiences.

Buy a Hisense U7H and you can have a better TV and the PSVR 2 for just over $1000, much better than a $500 TV from Samsung, LG or Sony. Many of the downsides of Hisense are lessened when gaming on PS5 because theres no upscaling being done (the console upscales the image and the TV just sees 2160p and displays it) and the motion interpolation isn't used either. The only downsides at that point are less good tonemapping and gradient handling and most people wouldn't even know whats great tonemapping vs. less good and often the source has such bad gradients that even Sony's wouldn't be able to "fix" it. So those things are still a better trade off than buying an edge/direct-lit 300-nit LCD with no local dimming from Samsung, LG or Sony for $500. Depends on the size ofc, if we're talking about a 65" then you'll need to go to $1200 but 55" you can do both for a $1050. In fact if its 55" I'd buy the U8H (which is a brilliant TV for the money) and that would be $1200. Let me know if you want more info about it.

There's already a lot of good games in the launch line up and they don't have to be just from Sony. I'll be surprised if HL Alyx doesn't get released eventually. The caveat is if you already have a Quest 2 or PCVR yeah a lot of the launch are ports, but still even though I've played a lot of the launch line up elsewhere I can't wait to receive mine. PSVR did better than expected despite the extreme limitations, this should end up doing well.
