There's an area in Brume Tower(Dark Souls 2) where your health is reduced due to curse. Aggregating that is ofcourse enemies not being pleased that you're trespassing in a ruin that is dear to their hearts.

Yep the fade in Dragon Age origins was a ball ache, but worst of all for me is the lantern puzzle in Call of Cthulhu. For me hardest part of the game which you cannot skip, trying to work out when to swap lanterns while being hunted by the shambler!.

The underwater parts in Ratchet and Clank 1 and Going Commando are a giant pain in the arse. Also why I'll never play the Bioshock games.

In MGS with the wolves bit, you can hit one of them then quickly equip the box. The wolf will pee on you then you could go through that part without them attacking you.

A bit I always dreaded was in fallout 3's story mission about the memory pods. Where you turn into a 10 year old and either murder everybody cause it's so they can all rest in piece, (and get a bit of good karma) or murder everybody cause a 10 year old girl with voice of an old man tells you to so you can have your dad back (and get the worst karma rating possible)

How about The Last of Us when you have you get strung upside down and Ellie has to cut the rope while you shoot the infected, hopelessly trying to compensate for Joel's sway? Or the part where you fall down an elevator shaft and have to start a generator and then run for the door somewhere down there in the deep dark while being chased by infected? The Last of Us has many bits that I dread, but I love this game. I cannot wait for the sequel.

Seriously. The first time I went through that area, I had to force myself not to shut the game down. I even gagged a few times because of how on point the character and sound design was. That was the only time in my ENTIRE life that any form of media made me feel truly uncomfortable and unnerved.

The bike sections in Megaman X... 4 and 5 I believe? Do you want to go a thousand miles per hour on a side scrolling screen designed for precise action-platforming? Do you want to avoid enemies and random obstacles that come out of nowhere giving you almost no time to react, let alone avoid them? No, just no. Only made worse when you have small easily missable side objectives to get in those segments.

This isn’t a bad thing but the skulls in mgsv.. when you finished the game killing the skulls isn’t that hard since you have a crazy damage but when I first played it that thing was terrifying and very hard to kill! Untill I finally figured it out to used the tank.. man it gets easier

The sewer level in Ratchet and Clank (PS2) was awful. The mandatory hoverboard races that required wins to progress are in close 2nd place. Both of these seemed easier in the reboot and I was so glad 😁I never finished FF:X, I got stuck and lost in Beville and rage quit never to return.

Personally I think the Deep Roads are worse, but then (don't ask me how, I wish I could tell you) I know the Fade like the back of my hand and can get through it fairly quickly. I was thinking that. The Bevelle one is tedious because if you miss time it you to keep dropping off the ledge and going round in circles. But the solution is pretty straight forward. That ice one.... I have beat the game a few times but I always dread it. I can never remember how to do it. Especially getting the destruction sphere. It is like my brain represses the whole experience each time, rendering me unable to learn for future attempts.

The bit with the sniper walled me for a while, until I realized that once you get past the first group of enemies in the house on the left side path, you can just climb over the wood pile by the fence, and circle around to the back of the house with the sniper. Any stealth section in any non-stealth game irks me crazy. Alternatively, the 'modern day' sections in the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 parts where you have to run away from these moloth? demon guys with bazooka arms because you can't beat them, not even much later when you're at the apex of your powers. And you're Dracula. A pretty big cheese! Just not enough to kill those mobs.

KH 3 personally was my first KH game, that my uncle bought for me cuz he saw mickey, Donald and Goofy hehe. I thought the first bit was the majority of the game and Mickey, etc were just cheap marketing tactics. But that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I have been hooked on JRPGs ever since.

I more so was upset by the fact he is there and then gone. He is a rather decent character and fun to play as. You get to feel how meaningless his personal existence is, being have to put back into Sora. Funny thing is Kingdom Hearts 2 was my first, why? Because I had not seen the first one and I love Final Fantasy and Disney. XD

A bit I always dreaded was in fallout 3's story mission about the memory pods. Where you turn into a 10 year old and either murder everybody cause it's so they can all rest in piece, (and get a bit of good karma) or murder everybody cause a 10 year old girl with voice of an old man tells you to so you can have your dad back (and get the worst karma rating possible)

The Clank sections in the original Ratchet & Clank, specifically Orxon. This is an absolute monster of a level that can take TWENTY MINUTES to complete. It's not all that difficult, but in a way that just makes it worse; it's just the same just-below-brain-stimulating gameplay set to a dreary world and the world's most sleep-inducing music. The reward is the brilliant Pokitaru, but holy Orvus do you want to fall asleep on the way there!

the bad part about that is, it makes new players think all blitzball is going to be that hard and its not. For whatever reason they just give jacked up stats to the Luca team during that one required game.

All the Knuckles and Rouge missions in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. These bits are brutal because you have to find three Master emerald shards that are scattered across the map. The problems are, (1) the maps get progressively much larger very quickly forcing you to waste a LOT of your time which is weird in a franchise that is all about speed, (2) the shard locations are randomly generated so you can't just memorize the locations to make it easier next time, and (3) these bits are mandatory to progress through the game.

Rob's writing has been even more on point here lately. I've always found the show immensely enjoyable but recently it's been making me laugh quite a bit more with the wittier than usual dialogue. Kudos Rob! ...Also, the quest in Dragon Age Origin's where you have to enter the fade to save Conner from the desire demon... UGH, just let the demon have him, the world needs me!!
