Have faith!... There will be a time you absolutely rock a game and will be impressed with yourself. I find esp. with online games, practicing in single player or training modes is a huge help. Otherwise I'm normally on the end of a good t-bagging.

cosimoRah Yeah I thought I was good at games. I'm pretty good at single players but the minute I go online, well...um...saying I'm bad is an understatement. Problem is I keep making stupid mistakes that wouldn't get me killed in single players. I'll admit, I am still new to online so it'll take a while.

I always struggle with RPG's. I probably don't have the patience to grind and play a game for 80+ hours but saying that I put 5 days into Battlefield 1943. LOL. I am enjoying Persona 5 I do play that occasionally and it doesn't feel like a grind to level up.
@tropicalpenguin9871
@tropicalpenguin9871 6 жыл бұрын
that's cuz you don't need to grind for the majority of rpgs, playing the story will keep you at a level needed to go through the game, you grind for items/material and inevitably levels if you want to make the game extremely easy, like putting hundreds of hours into the dark aeons in ffx and then 2 shotting the final boss
@Alex-mb2cy
@Alex-mb2cy 6 жыл бұрын
if you play Persona on easy, but don't grind, some bosses can be a bit challenging. I love Persona, but don't feel like doing grinding, so that's my preferred option. Call me a sissy all you want, but that's the way I play many RPGs. Spending a fith of playtime on mindless grind is ridiculous.
@coreym8783

Tbf, most western Rpgs dont involve 'grinding', at least the type where you must kill the same enemy ovet and over again.

MoviesNGames007uk any game that requires you to grind for leveling characters or ingame resources, are either a J.R.P.G. or fails to actually be one despite its label, think do I. Simply being thorough when going through your playthrough, would be more than enough. Games that you may enjoy, if you like choose your own adventure story book experiences:: Dragon Age: Origins, Alpha Protocol, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Pillars of Eternity, Planescape: Torment, Fallout 4, Skyrim, et cetera, think do I. All of them failed to ever require me to 'grind' and most of them actually prevent it as the enemies stay dead.

I am SO HAPPY to hear Nath freely admit he used a guide for Dark Souls. Like an idiot I bought Bloodborne thinking "People exaggerate, it can't be that hard" and that bit me on the butt. After a week of being stuck at the first level of Yharnam I looked up a guide and was suggested EpicNameBro and that guy is freaking amazing. I have severe anxiety problems and playing Bloodborne is not conducive to that issue. I have no shame admitting this!

I am one for using guides regularly, they allow me to play the game, knowing that I'm approaching it in a logical manner, I can still explore, they create a nice balance for me between not having a clue what's happening or where to go, to being able to play and have a semi idea of what to do and possibly how to approach certain battles or areas, without taking away the sense of accomplishment, I think everyone should have at least a semi guide for the souls games, I'm a believer in failing after trying to get some help, failing because you're stubborn and refuse to get any help at all is silly I think, at least fail because you can't do the game not because you're approaching a battle wrong or going into the wrong area.

The hardest thing in Dark Souls 1 is that the game doesn't tell you how the scaling on items works. If you know that it's easy. I fought my way to Quelaag with no upgraded items and no grinding, cause I didn't want to waste resources. I had zero idea, about fire resistance or anything. The only thing I knew was that less weight faster movement. I killed that bitch after 50 tries then tried going to Sen's fortress, but got murdered a couple of times and it was frustrating that I had zero dmg vs the snakemans. So I went to the forest. Killed Hydra, went up, shot the 3 cats from the trees. Then got murdered by Siff. I got one shotted. Almost killed her and died again. Had 30 tries at least and I got angry so I actually started looking at my items and stats. Then I saw the As and Ds and scaling. Ok. I started upgrading the best scaling sword I had, Falchion. Then went to the forest and murdered the idiots, who chased me through it before. Grinded to 35 dexterity. Siff easy kill. Only leveled up vit, dex some endurance for the armor and got black iron armor with falchion to max. From then on I had 1 hard boss, the Dragon in the library. I went for him first. Everyone else was easy. I killed Nito and Gwyn by simply hitting them. I had more dmg on them then they had on me.

Platformers. The satisfaction of completing a level is intense, but it takes me longer to get there than it does to complete a series of side-quests in a Dragon Age game. Mine are those racing games like Need For Speed or Burnout Paradise... you complete the single player campaign like a boss, start playing those multiplayer matches against other low levels (who maybe haven't played the single player game yet), win some matches and begin to think that this is YOUR game..... Then it starts lobbying you with other ppl who are good at the game, who have also put the hours in and aced the campaign... and you suddenly realise your back to being average, if it's a good day... and you've got your lucky pants on.

MGSV is definitely a game I love but I am rubbish at. I create a wonderful plan of how I'm going to silently incapacitate every guard, gather them up and fulton them out, then easily take the objective. In actuality, I get spotted right away and have to try and shoot my way out, fail at that, run away on D-Horse, and get a fulton drop of bigger guns just to complete the mission and get a D rating.

Dark Souls really surprised me. For years I'd heard about it being this insanely hard game. What I played was challenging, certainly, but the difficulty of it was way overhyped. I'm the same, had no problem with Dark souls at all, only lost to one boss the whole game and it was the Capra demon that took me completely by surprised when I went through the fog gate. Beat O+S first time etc. But Nioh had me close to smashing my pad a few times. Human fall flat really punked me too on a few climby bits and it wasn't until I pinged the last trophy I actually got the swinging and climbing vertically right. And the less said about the rolling ball trophy the better.
@davidestabrooks211
@davidestabrooks211 6 жыл бұрын
I get what you are saying but I think that the difference between Nioh and the Dark Souls difficulty comes down to the way that gear is handled. Nioh is in my opinion harder due to using an action rpg like Diablo style loot system that can feel very frustrating some times when you are just farming for that one good gear drop versus Dark Souls is about the actual difficulty of boss patterns and mechanics.
@original4934

No guide will beat the game for you and if you insist on learning everything by trial and error, good luck surviving natural selection. Devs clearly encourage this with notes and all. I feel like people that suck at games are people that don't try enough, or get frustrated. Nobody is instantly good at a game, even if when you have experience in a genre, you often carry some skills over to a new game in the same genre, and sometime cross genres. Getting over the feeling of being not good enough, to finally get the w, that's a good lesson video games can provide, and i think anyone "can" do it.

Gran Turismo online is my kryptonite. I'm usually brilliant at driving games, but I just can't seem to nail GT Sport, I think I've pulled out the perfect lap and go into a race, and the pole is 5-6 seconds faster in the same damn car. The fact you get penalised for other idiots crashing into you or forcing you off the track means I'll never get better either. Last race I had I got penalised for absolutely nothing on Monza, race started, didn't even reach the first corner and bang, 5 second penalty. Didn't touch anyone, nowhere near the sides of the track. It was then I retired from online GT and went back to Driveclub, posting top 100 in the world times with ease. People can't be great at everything I guess, unless you devote all your time to one game you've gotta accept people will be better. I've got 279 games on PS4, I'm happy to not suck on most of them.

Nathan - I struggle with just basic player development and inventory management. When you match everything that has a lower average power it works out more! What?! Dave - week 2 challenges done? Not bad Fortnite footage though and top10. Has to be GT Sport or any other racing sim that is beautiful but I will never be any good at

I'm just here to comment about the first guy (dave i think he's named ?) and Dark Souls. Playing with a guide is a bit of shame, since a large part of what made dark souls such a special experience for so many of us, is how little it cares for the player. In a time where games hold your hand, have difficulty modes, and basically you have to be able to finish the game, even if you're impaired, Dark Souls came out and was none of that. It was its own thing, and you dealt with it if you could, and didn't if you couldn't. It did gave an elitist pride to the ones that conquered the game. Another rewarding experience in Souls games, is the feeling of accomplishment, when you beat a boss, because you've learned enough to defeat it perfectly. When you win because of stats or summons, or a sort of cheat strat, you don't really learn anything about the particular boss's moveset, it's weakness, or whatever. If you had to courage to go to the end, that's worth something. Now do it alone. You'll enjoy it much more.

To be honest i never really trained like you said to see the difference i get frustrated very quickly. :) The only game that made me stay a while was Injustice 2 because of Superman he is my favorite Character. Maybe i give it a shot again sometime. ;)

I am normally bad at fighting games but Dissidia 012 I am at least good enough to beat the toughest Ai enemies. But I am only good with a select few Characters. Could, Sephiroth, Kain, Garland I suck with so many of them. But with my beloved Shantotto I feel the unstoppable powerhouse that she is. But I am god awful in smash. I borrowed it and difficulty 2.0 was way to hard fore me.

Nathan if you were bad at dark souls you wouldn't of finished it, no where near, if it were a normal game and you finished it sure you could still be bad and stumble through with luck but with a game that's made for skilled people like dark souls you must of had enough skill to complete it guide or not and not knowing how to lock on for a good chunk of it means your better than most, don't be so hard on yourself I think your pretty good and coming from someone who's finished three several times and the first one once that should be good enough, keep up the good work access love the channel

I have an old XBOX (the first one), and many years ago, in the 2000's, there was this chance where it can be taken to a store and with some hacks or magic it was able to read "non original games" and also they put some emulators, including Neo-Geo, N64 and SNES. I still play some of them , whenever is half time on a soccer game or just to kill time. A couple of days ago I put Sim City for SNES; I have play it before but never worked very well; so I decided to bulid the best Sim City EVER, with public transportation, unpolluted areas, low taxes, parks, etc. I got fired... i did not even last 50 years, never made it more than 10k people... This games are hard. Ps: The emulator also comes with Sim City 2000 but I think that has been played for no more than 20 min.

I'm bad at all stealth games. Metal gear, The Last of Us, if it heavily relies on you being good on stealth, I suck at it. Tiger Bears I played a bit of the test version and I had barely any problem I heard some had input lag issues. But those were all related to network issues. Which shouldn't be present when the game launches. The test was designed to run the DS network used for online services they were using it to find issues. So it makes sense the test would have problems. I'm gonna still wait and see before purchasing as we never truly know. But i advise being patient and waiting before nocking the final release ^_^/
