Here is another one for you. Spending time online. Looking for things you intend to do when you do play. I play a lot of elder Scrolls Online (ESO) I'll spend hours sometimes. Researching online the quest I intend on doing that evening. Looking for all the things you can find in said quest. Finding the secret boss that is hiding behind the slightly different colored wall. Finding all the treasure chests and trying to memorize them. Before I actually play the game. Then when I do play the game that night. I do absolutely nothing to do with the quest . I spent 5 hours researching that afternoon.

If a game has an interesting lore or set in an already established universe, I'll spend days (or sometimes months) consuming every bit of content I can find. I'm currently lost in Middle-Earth. I've been playing multiple games set in the world, reading all the lore I can find, watching all the movies and TV series. Last month it was the Star Wars universe, and before that, it was the world of The Witcher and Warhammer. It feels like I'm living in these worlds.

Great video! Oh, the backseat gaming has made me not play a game for months just to punish the backseat gamer. I love spending time in my freighter in No Man's Sky that I've meticulously crafted. Nothing like popping in a batch of residual goop into the refiner and letting it process away in the background while I have lunch and maybe a game of sudoku or two or maybe even a Friday feature. The pleasant hum of the refiner just immerses me in my own little universe. Meanwhile, there's 18 quadrillion systems that need exploring and here I am just sitting in my freighter. I love what you guys do - keep up the good work!

But not with that bgm specifically, what i did was i went inside the inn of Cosmo Canyon and in there there is a choir that singing the Advent Children movie's theme! When I was about 15 my best friend at the time and I discovered the perfect way to blend Watching Others Play Video Games and Backseat Gaming together with actually playing the game. We realized that the Wii console's nunchuck and remote setup provided an opportunity to cooperatively play a single-player game. And so off we went, myself wielding the remote and her wielding the nunchuck, and we played through Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess like that. There was laughing, arguing, berating, brilliant moments where we were actually in sync with each other... it was actually absolutely loads of fun! Also incredibly unorthodox and I've never met another person who has done this with their friend.

Probably the most evil, dark-sided version of procrastination is the Wiki Hole, half because it often starts *while* I'm gaming. I'll tell myself, "Hey, don't you know that voice actor from somewhere?" And then peer down at my phone as if it were a devil unfurling a hateful bargain for me to sign. Sometimes, I resist. Glad Persona 4 Golden got a shout out in this video . One of Robs friday features from 9 years ago mentioned the fact he'd been playing Persona 4 alot in the office when he should be working, it was turned into a cutaway skit breifly - or something along those lines . I decided to pick it up and try it for myself on my long train journeys to various drama schools for auditions. I absolutely fell in love, 6 hours on persona 4 travelling to London and it just flew by because i was having so much fun . In fact , i was annoyed that Id turn up to my destinations so quickly and that I had to stop playing Persona. Then ofcourse came Persona 5, solidifying it as one of my favourite JRPG franchises of all time alongside Final Fantasy . After finishing P3 reloaded and pouring hundreds and hundreds of hours into this franchise I'd just like to thank Rob for changing my life for the better . Metaphor is absolutely kickass too. Atlas games never miss . That thing Rob mentioned near the end of this video about watching a different creator to light that passion within himself vicariously through someone else is exactly the reason we are bought to YOUR videos . Why do you think we're still all here 10 years later 🎉❤

Me who likes FFVIII yet doesn't enjoy FFIX (notice how i put doesn't enjoy, if i put dislike like i used to...) just cause it's my least favourite doesn't mean i wouldn't want to play it again. Tho I'm starting to wonder if it has something to do with being stuck and playOnline was the solution (with no net) Here's one, getting that perfect run, saved before a boss, rpg style? Try to save as much mp as possible, steal all items, if not reload the save, action game boss? Take no damage, don't get spotted, non lethal takedown, takes a good couple hours when the fight is roughly 20 mins.

I sincerely didn't expect "watching other people play" was gonna be on this list but that is in fact something I have been obsessed with doing ever since 2019 I think and I'm trying to break that habit not just because I need to actually play, but because I really should be adulting and just trying to do more with my time😅 But I will say that I have become guilty of several of the other things you mentioned such as photo mode, and looking at trophies, though, not just trophy lists… to see how hopeless it is to try and platinum a game😂 not that I have ever aspired to try
