Playthrough + Review | Birdscaping

In this video I'll do a playthrough of 'Birdscaping', a card game by Joe Klipfel. I will also give you my review of it.
Description on BoardGameGeek: "Birdscaping is an 18-card game in which players compete to get the best and greatest number of birds to join their backyard bird sanctuary. Discard cards from your hand and activate cards in your tableau to make improvements to your yard features (pond, garden and trees) as you attract curious birds into your tableau. Work to play higher-cost cards as you build up your engines to gain food, nesting areas, and the attention of curious birds."

Note: I made a rather major mistake in the video. You can only use the resource depending on the row the card is placed in. Trees provide nesting areas, the garden provides food and the pond provides curious bird icons. I vote for a round 2 play through, so you can do a video rules correction (not many read the comments), but mostly because we get to see you play more Birdscaping. 😁👍🏻

No problem! Just keep in mind that I did one major rules mistake: You may only use the eggs of the birds in the top row, the resources of the birds in the second row and the feathers of the birds in row 3. I am planning to record a new video with the correct rules sometime this year.

You cant use the nest as a resource when the card is played in the garden. Or use the food when the card is played in the trees. When you play it from your hand you can choose, but when the card is in your tableau you must follow what row it is placed in. Trees- provide nesting areas, garden- provide food and pound- provide curious birds.

Then why are there garden/pond birds that feature a nest resource? (Collared dove, bluebird and robin.)

If you read "Paying food cost" and "Paying nesting area cost" it tells you whitch row the cards must be tilted from to generate the resource.

Ive also downloaded this as a PnP version to learn it. I am getting to grips with the rules but realised I may have made the same mistake re rows and resources 😅😮😵 Your video has really helped me and thoroughly enjoyed the playthrough -- thanks!!

@@SirThecos i think its posible! using the points for example as food or something maybe even use the powers! harder things have been done for sure 🤣 i really like wingspan but its so cool to just pull a small deck and not needing anything else like this game! also since its only 18 cards? isnt it availabe print to play? cause i dont think i would find that game in spain even online!
