PLC based Project on Mechatronics System for Industry 4.0

Mechatronics system explanation with sensors, actuators, mechanism, pneumatic systems in Self Cube Assembly Machine controlled by S7 300 SIEMENS PLC .
Mechatronics is combination of some engineering fields like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, instrumentation & control engineering, electronics engineering etc. Originally, mechatronics just included the combination of mechanics and electronics, hence the word is a combination of mechanics and electronics; however, as technical systems have become more and more complex the word has been broadened to include more technical areas.

First of all, beautiful representation of mechatronics. I'm little curious to know the logic behind the staking of the boxes onto the shelves. Can you please elaborate on how you program the module to place the box at a particular place ? How to detect if place is wide enough to place the box ? Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. We have calculated pulse of photo sensor which are installed over horizontal and vertical LMG. Logic can be defined anyway.

Sir in MECHATRONICS system why we use four sensor to detect metal object?

Good Question. Four sensors are not only for metal. There are two types of materials with different orientations. so first Sensor is Capacitive sensor which detects material present or not. as it can sense all type of objects. Second sensor is photosensor so it will detect only reflecting surface so once it will confirm metal object came. And third sensor is inductive sensor which detects only metal. So again in confirm metal object. Here two times metal object will be detected so programming would be like this once two sensor sense it will consider as metal and continue cycle further. I hope now your doubt is cleared.

Basic PLC programming & Advanced PLC programming course are available but basic is enough and then practice as much as on simulator.

This project is made by Siemens Sitrain Team. There are number of inputs as Proximity sensor and Output as Solenoid Valves. Siemens S7 300 PLC is used for controlling. I can't tell exactly cost but it would be in some lack.

Only PLC is not enough, in current trends Industrial IOT, Industry 4.0 concept and technology are running. So you have to learn parallel those technologies as well. For more details pls watch our other videos.
