Great video, I enjoyed learning about tags and associated levels they can be in. Seeing how easy it is to move them around. Looking forward to the next video that ties this tag to a physical item on the PLC. But from previous experience, I know some tags can be no tied to anything physical they are just "variables' (AV, BV that we use on the DDC side of programming, sorry to digress from PLC). This video helped me see the breakdown of the menu tree on the left side of a program.

Just found your site 5/12/19 at 3:10 am at work and join the community now, and will try to watch every thing you put out here on RS logic 5000. Darren in Dallas, TX

Your first two videos on this subject were labeled as Part 1 and Part 2. This video above is Part 3, but is not shown in the title as such. Would you give me a list of the videos remaining on this particular subject? Thanks!

Minor stuff, but isn't the Stop Button a NC contact or a XIO on that rung? Where if the Start button is pressed and the Stop button is not pressed then the output is energized, which latches and seals the circuit. Which would then unseal or break the circuit if the Stop button (NC contact or XIO ) is pressed. Or maybe i'm confused. Excellent video otherwise. Some emphasis should be made though to explain the different data types a there are 5 from the drop down menu. I always get confused just what the others exactly mean. Bool you explained simply and well as it's either a 0 or 1 which makes it a digital signal. I think Real is just like an Analog value at best in how i understand it. The other 3 i'm not the best at in determining when to use.

I believe you can use the XIC bit for a stop if you are using a push button hardwired through NC contacts
